Saw this Vanquish at St Athans concours and on the cover of the AMOC mag - did you compete this time?
Yes. Came 2nd (again). Really pleased though as the car was driven through all sorts on the way down (wild ponies on Bodmin Moor = wild st on the roads), arrived at the Inn when dark so got up at 6:00 to wash car. Finally managed to speak to the manager to turn alarm off of Inn at 7:40 so drove straight to venue following two sat navs, both giving different directions. The "6 miles" took the best part of an hour, with much of this chasing flippin' pheasants on rutted, muddy roads that insist on running in front of car rather than going to the side or, heaven forbid, flying away. No fun up-hill in a Vanquish. So little time to wipe the 300 miles of st, literally, off the car.ace of the base said:
Always wondered what the Circuits des Remparts was like as an event.
Would you recommend it?
Yes, definitely. Great roads down there, stayed at Hotel De France (Aston team hotel near Le Mans), event is well organised, very hairy street racing, some great cars, especially the Bugattis.Would you recommend it?
