Only about 2 hrs rain on second day all the rest was bright sunshine! Roof down all week. We all got stoped by the Swiss police as a local had phoned to complain. We were let go with a warning to obey speed limits. However later that day a hidden speed trap caught a few resulting in a £1200 on the spot fine for one unfortunate soul ( surprisingly not me!) and a couple of hundred quid for others. Was quite glad to leave Switzerland.
Contrasted by 4 motorcycle cops on the Italian side of the border who briefly stopped us then with waving arms shouted "gas gas gas" !! We obliged with two black lines and lots of smoke! Priceless!
Wish we'd had that weatherContrasted by 4 motorcycle cops on the Italian side of the border who briefly stopped us then with waving arms shouted "gas gas gas" !! We obliged with two black lines and lots of smoke! Priceless!
That is exactly why I'm VERY careful with speed limits in Switzerland
The Italians are bonkers

nice shot, love how low the car sits. Would be impossible to drive here in amsterdam....looks nice tho!
Thanks! Yeah, clearance is sometimes an issue. I have to plan accordingly. And I've met a sleeping policeman or two that didn't agree with my car!A little late in posting this because it was 9 days ago, but haven't really come down off my driving high
AML On-Track with five One 77's for the day - what great company hey...
Overtook the white one and the silver one (must have had the wind behind me)
Other exciting news: TeaSpn dyno'd out at 485BHP yesterday - the official record after all these months of development, sooooo pleased with the results. The performance and sound are for me epic for a V8

That is indeed a great result on the dyno. I remember hearing TeaSpn on the Northants park and shine and it sounds superb. Looking forward to seeing what your daughter comes up with on the interior design. Truly a one of a kind V8V.
Thanks Simon, bit nervous about what my daughter is going to produce in her first concepts presentation this weekend - supplier/client relationship is a bit too close for comfort After Northhants, we got even quicker with our final modifications. You wouldn't recognize the sound of the car now from Northants...
AML Event Director awarded TeaSpn: "the loudest car of the weekend award" - he had a big smile on his face when he informed me. Apparently even louder than Pete's (Pete675) Quicksilver exhaust, sorry Pete! ;

Hotel de Source: Great clean and functional hotel, visibility of track in negligible, location is ideal for pre-track day night. we found a great Chateau to stay at the other nights, turned out, so did 6 other AM's too - that was really funny!
I am definitely going to drive Spa again next year - try and hold me back - that it one hell of a day out. One of the best and most memorable car events I have ever experienced

We have been lucky on the two previous years Will as each day had been glorious sunshine. Perfect trackday weather The infamous Belgian monsoons saved themselves for the trip home - especially last year as Cockers can vouch for Hotel de Source: Great clean and functional hotel, visibility of track in negligible, location is ideal for pre-track day night. we found a great Chateau to stay at the other nights, turned out, so did 6 other AM's too - that was really funny!

Bit of a late post but had Stuart from F1 wax (got his number from a thread here) over yesterday to do a full day detailing on the DB9.
Looked absolutely fantastic after he finished with it.
I had the usual swirls on the paintwork from years of abuse at the hands of drive-through car wash operatives! Looked like new when he was finished.
Told me some fantastic stories about the cars he worked with. Very interesting guy.
I'll get some photos up in the next day or so.
