I might just be going as a visitor. I don't really get this concours thing.

You put your car on a lawn and have some guys scrutinise it whilst the organiser charges people 50 quid to come and have a look." Or have i missed something ?

Attended the Concours of Elegance today with AdamV8V. Some very nice cars on display. Also bumped into Wilga displaying his stunning Hardly Green Bristol 2 Litre.

And this would be my dream garage

So much neater. OCD fan of plates that are 100% legal but only as big as the they need be to accommodate the digits with no huge white spare bordersbounce

What's the reaction to the car from the French?

I've just come back from 2 weeks in the ardeche and got some aggressive stares once they spotted it was a uk car - albeit in an S Max.

I put it down to general ill feeling following Brexit?
Nothing but positive remarks! The French tend to look at it as if it was something that dropped out of space- didn't see another Aston for the whole week. IME, Europeans tend to feel quite sorry for us following the vote rather than bitter, having spent a bit of time travelling around Central Europe this summer.

The cottage was lovely- I think it was a converted barn, and probably at least 150 years old.

Not a bad traffic jam to be in wink

Just some of the 100 odd Astons driving to the AMOC display on the Long Walk at Windsor Castle - and couldn't resist including one of ours as well
