I spent 6 hours of my life cleaning and polishing it, as it's the first real
time I've had to have a go at the paintwork since I got it. Very pleased but can't get the blessed grille clean. I haven't used the white vinegar recipe yet but metal polish is doing nothing for it. Anyway, a very pleasant Sunday morning/afternoon. Now time to crack dinner.

So after some calculations I figure about 40,000 little critters. Note to self - Don't drive in the evening out in the country.

Smaller were they? They'll be illegal then.

These are fully legal with supporting documentation.

Good luck with your next MOT.

I just spent two days driving my 1961 DB4 down to Goodwood and back from London on the wonderful B-roads in Sussex. I know the route intimately well having driven to track and other events at Goodwood for many years. On a sunny day like yesterday the trip to and from Goodwood was better than what was actually happening down there. Most of the route is restricted to 60 mph which even for a 1961 well-sorted DB4 is still a bit of a challenge and you have to concentrate to drive at that speed in an old car. But it is gloriously fun. I drove ahead of a white Aston Rapide (numberplate AML 1) and I would like to think that had to do a little work to hang on, but they probably had a nice chat listening to BBC Radio 4 getting a massage in their ventilated seats. I had about 100 degrees in the footwell of the DB4 with all windows open - but I had a blast. The upgraded 4.7 litre Richard Williams engine with its immediate throttle response kept going and made a fantastic sound resonating off the surrounding brick-walls. What a day !

That would be the factory one then. Have you moved and got a shiny new garage to keep the car in?

A thing of great beauty.

Mine has been in Aston Bristol for a few weeks went in for a gearbox whine. (09 V12V 14k miles)
Warranty opted to change the oil first which didn't/wouldn't make the problem go away.
Fortunately they have decided to change the complete trans axle should be finished by the end of the week.

I remember vaguely that my MY09 V12V had the same at the time so I guess it is a known fault which was rectified under warranty.
