My grey V8V is being torn down right now and about to go through a pretty comprehensive rebuild, but my red one is back!

Dear Mr Banks,
Would Audley End be any good as an AMOC Concours venue ?

There's an AMOC area 12 event there in June for Herts/Essex air ambulance. Looks like it will be a great event. Can let you know how it goes?

Yes I would say so, there is plenty of parking on the lawn area on the other side of the river, this is where the XKEC held their event last weekend which I joined. Its also a lovely venue. They are also very welcoming to car clubs.

Hi Telum
What sort of reaction does your Aston get from the American public, if any?

I've barely had it on the roads at all since it arrived. It's been at a body shop getting some work done and I only got it back a couple days ago. I still haven't even registered the car! That said, it stands out sooo much more than my grey one. The color has really grown on me, too. One of my best friends has a Toro Red one, and I adore that color. The Rosso Corsa on mine is just so bright, it's hard to get a good idea of it in pictures, but it's awesome in person. Really just pops, and very different than the usual Aston metallic paint.

I was driving it back from the body shop the other day and caught a glimpse of the red paint from the door mirror cover, and it reminded me that I was driving a bright red Aston. It's an odd thing to say but, if you think about it, once we're in our cars, we don't really think about the color of the paint. That sudden reminder than I was in such a vividly-colored Aston put a smile on my face!

My friends all comment on how red it is, but I've barely driven it at all so I haven't noticed any reactions from people I don't know yet.
