Collected it from Bamford Rose following a series of enhancements including: sports exhaust (manifolds, 200 cell cats & X-pipe), twin plate clutch and lightened flywheel, fast-road geo. Utterly delighted with the result. The combination of the increased power with vastly improved throttle response, accompanied by the sound is truly epic. Anyone even vaguely considering doing this should not hesitate. You will not be disappointed.
Those guys have a funny way of fitting the sport exhaust. I,m sure it will sound great though.V8V Pete said:

Those manifolds and cats are truly pieces of art.......One day I will get the chance to get them fitted !!Loose_Cannon said:
Interesting, my second least favourite "premium" tyres after Bridgestones are Pirellis! Why do so many manufacturers fit these decidedly average tyres as standard?
A VERY sore subject for me as I thought the 'AMR' approved Bridgestones very poor before I swapped Rapide to PSS. Transformed the car. And now that I have chopped in the DD BMW Estate for another one (but a later F11 rather than an E61 model) I went from 18" non run flat tyres to lovely looking 19" on Run Flat. Absolute dynamic and comfort UTTER disaster. Words can't express the shock (literally...) and disappointment and I have no idea how BMW think this is safe, acceptable or reasonable. So, I've ditched the run flats at great expense and it now rides at about 65% of the quality and poise of the Rapide on 20" PSS. Hardly a result You have been warned - unlike me! Scheiße BMW (and any manufacturer that does not choose the very best tyres for their creations)!
Got lots done on the car yesterday - especially as I've only had it 3 days.
First off - remove the awful number plate plinth. Mine wasn't even on straight and the plinth was slightly damaged
Changed the wipers for aero's (note the corroded wiper arms - next on my hit list)
The wheels are really kerbed and flaking so really let the car down. I'm not keen on these wheels so instead of getting them refurbed I've bought new V8S wheels for it to get the wider rears. Hopefully this will update the car a bit
I also went to the bodyshop for a quote to get the front end and rear quarter road rash sorted along with the drivers door bubbling. The quote was much less than expected considering the work involved so I think I'm going to go for it. Most of front and sides of the car will be resprayed to blow it all in properly.
Finished off by washing it for the first time, comes up nicely. My daily driver jag in the background

Pete, I was looking at having this done but have concerns about the cabin noise on long journeys/motorways. Do you notice a big difference?V8V Pete said:

They haven't fitted those very well...rovcallum said:

This is not a problem at all because of the 3-way switch they fit as part of the job.1 - valves open all the time = loud
2 - valves shut all the time including at start up = quiet i.e. exhaust inaudible at motorway speeds.
3 - OEM = valves opening at predetermined rpm = artificial and pretty pointless to me.
I had the switch fitted before I had the exhaust done and used position 1 virtually all the time (except 3am starts). I now use position 1 most of the time but it is quite loud so position 2 gets used if I want to be subtle in built up areas. Haven't done much motorway driving yet but I suspect I will use position 2 then as well if I want to listen to the radio/music. Just realised I haven't use the stereo since I had the exhaust done; I wonder why?!
Me and my brother had a play about with the drones today and made a quick video
