So what have you done with your Aston today?

Used this stuff which was recommended by a local detailer and after my son had tested it on his BMW cream interior
Have to say it's excellent - cleans well and the treatment is a doddle to put on with no scarmy marks or residue, plus the cabin smells like leather again. About £50 for both 1ltr bottles delivered
Steve I ummed and arred for 2 years before doing anything to the leather in the Aston. After military style research and painstaking fact finding I concluded that putting anything on it like creams can make it shiny in patches that take abrasion from trousers etc. This was definitely a fact for the BMW leather where I used Autoglym Care Cream on it now and again. It buffed up to a glossy shine with my jeans! Consider Dr Leather wipes - they are just moist wipes and they remove dirt but leave nothing behind on the leather - it then looks amazingly matte and smells good. Hope that doesn't come across negative mate but if there was one subject I researched it was this one - good info on http://www.drleather.com/Leather-Cleaners/Our-Leat... Opinions differ a lot on the subject but the Rapide's leather looks so clean and totally matte now with no residue in the perforations/stitchingHave to say it's excellent - cleans well and the treatment is a doddle to put on with no scarmy marks or residue, plus the cabin smells like leather again. Edit - I also bought the Dye Block product for the cream leather DD and this seems to be preventing discolouring there too - havent used in the Aston (as its Obsidian) but could be useful for those with Truffle!

Having ummed & arred for nearly 4 years (and 2 Astons) I greatly appreciate this tip and have just bought some of these too. Thanks Dewi Edited by V8V Pete on Sunday 21st May 20:58

Having been dissapointed with the Autoglym cream making my 911 dash top shiney I've also ordered these.Edited by V8V Pete on Sunday 21st May 20:58
Let Paddy loose on the car again. He has spent 3 days on it and has once again performed his magic. The car needed some work on some dodgy paint work in between visits but he finished it today and it looks superb. He even turned up this morning with his dodgy back!
Thanks mate and I can't wait for the drive to Millbrook tomorrow for the PDC

Saturday, had a new pair of Larini 200 cell cats fitted to my V8V, as I had a very noisy rattle in one of my OEM cats, which was driving me crazy Also had a complete set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres fitting too.
To say this has made a difference is an understatement. The sound is amazing and the handling with these new tyres is better than the Bridgestone’s I had previously.

Cheers Pete - I think it's a good prescription Needs a nice soft cloth to buff the wipe solution off or will dry streaky but once done it's beautifully evenly matte. Do report back Pete /David Edited by V8V Pete on Sunday 21st May 20:58

Where did you get those shiny seat control knobs?
There was a topic on here a few years ago about these chrome switch covers and I bought a set. They just fit over the existing controls with double sided tape (already fitted inside them) and they look good, but are not a perfect fit and a little bit of play in them
I do not need to adjust my seat as I am the only driver, but they look much better than the black plastic.
