So what have you done with your Aston today?

New Alcantara Steering Wheel fitted to my Roadster and AMDS enabled the Cruise Control option on my car which it never had with the old leather wheel
That looks awesome...so if I understand this correctly you purchased the wheel which was fitted with the Cruise Control buttons & had this fitted to your car which never had the CC option & it was then just a matter of enabling the CC function. aspidito said:

This surprised me too to learn that it's quite possible to retro-fit CC. There are several threads on this including this one where a guy hacked his wheel to fit (obviously aware how not to set off the airbag!):https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=13...
Mine hasn't cruise which even my Vauxhall has. But strangely not missing it yet on the Vantage as I do quite different journeys so far. I don't want to have too many miles wasted on motorways O

Nick, Just my opinion but CC in the Vantage is an utter nonsense!! Even on the motorway, it's impossible to maintain a speed that matches other traffic! I can imagine on continent motorways it might have some utility to stay at the speed limit (particularly driving through France). I for one have never switched it on.
Dropped off some new (to me)V12V wheels for refurb
picked these up from a great guy - Dave Cooling in UK at brilliant price (happy to pass on his details). They were used as slave wheels in the factory so never used on the road - all perfectly true & just need repaint
will make a huge difference to the stance of the car

The only time I use CC is when in average speed camera areas where it is just far to easy to add speed quickly. Otherwise it is never used.
Indeed, for me it's all about speed cameras. But strangely I'm able to keep much better to the speed limit in the analogue Vantage compared to the synthetic Vauxhall. The fact I have to stir the 'box much less when gradients appear may have something to do with it. But I genuinely think the Vantage is making me a better driver as I'm really thinking much more about by driving (which I realise sounds scary that I'm not thinking in the skip... ).nickv8 said:
