That looks awesome...so if I understand this correctly you purchased the wheel which was fitted with the Cruise Control buttons & had this fitted to your car which never had the CC option & it was then just a matter of enabling the CC function. Once the new wheel is fitted the CC function is enabled by the AMDS software to tell the car to enable the CC function
I also fitted a newer style airbag module today (for cosmetic purposes) with the black anodised ring to match the new wheel, you also get the added benefit of a year old airbag as opposed to the ten year airbag although there is no need technically to change the airbag after ten years
Just completed 3rd annual 2500 mile 5 day desert run from Silicon Valley. This year it was to Navajo country and Canyon de Chelly. Arizona has some wonderful roads with no traffic, continuing 2 mile visibility, straight as an arrow. Surprisingly, I have not seen another Aston on any of the trips. Not even in Las Vegas. At Canyon de Chelly I was thinking about the fact that this was probably the first Aston to ever visit. At the motel, an eight car group of beautiful touring Model A Ford owners had made the trip. Given that we were at 5,000 feet, I can't imagine what their trip was like... The DB-9 handles 10,000 foot summits effortlessly, but seeing the Model A's with 40 h.p. next to an Aston with 10x more than the whole group combined left me wondering whether in 80 years from now if cars will have 4000 h.p. and people will wonder how anyone could make do with less...
