Got mine back from Works today after a three week absence.........still I'm not going to complain, new brake pads fitted and bedded on all four corners all under warranty as they couldn't fix the squeal...!

March 2013, done 8,800 miles.

They said all the "usual" fixes didn't work, so they approached Gaydon for approval to replace all the pads........I'm not arguing with that.

That's interesting, mine is 2010 plate, pads all ok but doesn't stop as I would expect the CC too, only done 11000 miles so might just ask

Yes it's a Q option, I'm very happy with it and seems quite unusual in the Vantage.

Yes still here till next Wednesday then France again. As I mentioned we are going to Sirmione which is meant to be spectacular, the "am ciao" group were there a couple of days ago ( I think they are the Netherlands group). What will you be driving?

I would definitely get it checked because it should stop very well indeed. As I'm sure you know, the surface of CCM discs can be destroyed by acidic wheel cleaner and if this is the case they will perform badly and need replacing. Post up a picture of your front discs and the experts will be along to comment. I hope I'm wrong or you've got a very good warranty / relationship with the supplying dealer.

Took my "new to me" 07 Vantage (sporting her new plates) for a long drive along some very quiet rural Western Australian roads. Best fun I've had behind a wheel - what a car!

Sirmione is beautiful. The town centre is pedestrianised (& traffic-limited) unless you're staying within the town limits, which makes driving through it a fun experience! Just don't run over a gawping tourist!

H.B - yes Sirmione sounds great, I have arranged to lunch at the Villa Palace Cortine and Frederick, the concierge arranged parking at the hotel as he didn't want an Aston in the general car park. That wouldn't have happened when I had a BMW.

Wash day again for the Vantage. The extra gloss protection I applied a few weeks back works brilliantly, water just beads off. Today was the first tryout for a new snow foam lance, and cherry fragrance foam...





Aside from the floor mats needing a hoover and clean, inside things are looking nicer. Some leather care balm has brought up everything nicely and smells like it ought to.



It went so well, I have to wash SWMBO's car tomorrow...
