That makes my effort of spending the whole weekend putting shelves up so I can get more space in my garage pathetic.

Fantastic, I suspect the garage played a substantial part in the decision making on the house purchase!

You could get four cars in. Depending on the cars of course.

Exists into car port with room for 2 more

You need to throw out that plastic garden chair and replace it with a nice wooden rocking chair, to relax in whilst having those quiet moments of admiration :-)

Ohhh, I just love these! Sometimes I wonder if I should have bought one of these in place of the V8VS.

What have I done with my Aston today?

Unfortunately nothing because the numpties that have had my winter wheels/tyres for the last 8 months have done nothing with them in that time despite me telling them the left rear had a puncture (and asking them to sort it) when they were taken off last spring. They now want me to buy 2 new rear tyres from them which they haven't got. It is at this point that I am about to completely disenfranchise myself.

Is there anyone on here that would throw away a £300 rear tyre with 5mm of tread on it just because the other "has" to be replaced due to a puncture? Really?

I'm assuming by your question that the puncture is not in the "sidewall" area? Many dealers, not just AM, adopt the approach of not repairing any punctures on high performance cars, so just take your tyre and wheel down to a reputable Indi tyre specialist and get it repaired there instead. I'm like you and would always repair a puncture providing it was legal to do so. smile

The way I'm reading that is the OP is suggesting that the company in question is only prepared to replace the tyres together, therefore one has a puncture, but the other one that has 5mm of tread is also being 'scrapped' even though it is fine just to keep some sort of tyre tread depth balance across the axle. wink

Ah fair point, I see what you are saying, but all the more reason to press to repair the other tyre, then you still have a matching pair.

In fairness I might be somewhere different on stance if it came to having 5mm of tread on one tyre and 12mm on the other. Differing levels of grip on the same axle isn't a good idea.

No idea about how the Aston would handle two different rear tyre tread depths but it happened to me once on a Ferrari , the car went down the road feeling like it was going side ways, unbeleivable difference.
A repair if possible would be the best outcome.

Have you got red (or red CF) wing mirror covers or is that a reflection?
