Reminisced on past cars by visiting Burghley for the TVR season opener event, and couldn't resist another opportunity to park it in front of another plane while passing RAF Wittering. hehe

Hydrographic coating to look like carbon fibre then finished in a clear gloss top coat.

A bit more pleasing on the eye than the original colour and a lot more pleasing on the pocket than the real thing , got that in before I'm accused and rightly so of being tight.
Where did you have the coating done, a big improvement over the original finish..

Googled hydrographic coatings up here in the NE , ready couple of reviews and rang the chap up .

Took it off in a few minutes and dropped it off , collected it a week later .

£140 iirc

I think it looks far better than the original, but only I see it when I open the bonnet .

The dragon thought it was a waste of money , but hey ho ....

Have you got the green V12S ? If so, I think we met when there was a meeting down at Brooklyns. I was in my DBS.
No problem meeting up to discuss the performance pack.
Tried to e mail you, but your profile doesnt allow e mail .
Oh yes it was Brooklands, I'd forgotten where we were, I went to so many events last year. I've turned the email option on, but in case it doesn't work, edmay1111 @gmail.com Thanks.

For a part that's rarely seen I think it's a nice solution to improve a cheap looking cover, if it was on show then yes it has to be the real thing...

Technically not just today, but all weekend! I washed, clay barred and cut the paint clear coat back to remove all the swirls, holograms and scratches on the DB9. Used Chemical Guys Hex Logic Quantum pads and their swirl and scrath removing compound, followed by Autoglym super resin polish, sealer and Victoria concourse wax. Alot of hard work, aching back, neck and shoulders, but I'm very pleased with the incredible transformative result.

Top effort and more in keeping with the title of the the thread "what have YOU done with your Aston today?"

Somehow leaving it for someone else to slave over while you go on holiday or watch someone else detail it for 5 days on end just doesn't ring true. Gotta love the Aston forum!

Rather unexciting, but changed out the scratched-up anti glare screen on my DBS for a new one. Lovely smile

Got up at 5 am, drove 160 miles before breakfast, assisted Peter, Alan & Co (Martin's Aston Services at Mollinsburn) in the annual servicing of the V8.
I must admit that being involved in the process gives a sense that I'm not being fleeced, the work done is genuine first class, probably above and beyond the usual AM level of service, rectifying the little things, I get to see the detail and condition of the car, get some top tips, free coffee, etc..

Thanks Loose Cannnon for the comment. I enjoy working on my cars and get as much pleasure from that as I do from diving it. My back's recovered now too!

Took it to BR and finally (now that Spring is here - WTF) got my (new to me - thanks Steveway) V12V wheels and summer tyres fitted to my Vantage S. No, I'm not trying to make it look like a V12, I've just always loved these wheels. Adrian then took me out and showed me what properly warmed up Corsas can do despite a damp/wet road and ambient temperature of about 7 degrees. OMG - I thought I could drive my car OK but this was on a different level. Thanks Adrian, something to work on driving

If anyone wants my old V-spoke wheels (black diamond cut) with part worn V8S size Bridgestones then just PM me.
