Does anyone that has bought these aftermarket carbon pieces for the engine bay know if they can be less glossy? I really like the more satin finish, similar to what you get on the carbon bits from the factory.

You could put matt paint protection film on it.

I think the only Aston OE part that is used in the engine bay ( Manifold Cover) is glossy not matt like the interior parts. Perhaps there is a reason the Appleby part is gloss - more heat resistant ?

Took a mate to the train station this morning.

I think I convinced him he needs an AM in his life.

If you want a specific look why not get it Hydrographic coated, anything or style can be done then.

I guess that is an option too, but would prefer the real thing or stick with the standard unit.

Good shout, but not sure how well the PPF would hold up to the heat from the V12.

Should be fine if it's good quality and installed properly. PPF on a bonnet gets subjected to heat from both sun and engine, and it holds up just fine.

Oh cr@p!
Nightmare, there's a place behind the new Porsche dealership at Preston farm in Stockton that refurb diamond cut wheels. My pal had his done there and the finish was really good.

Hope you get them sorted ok

I'll shortly be preparing my DB9 Volante for a three week long tour of Italy. So I'll take it to Newport Pagnell for a service and an MOT, plus there is a call back ( or whatever they're called ) to attend to a cable running under the drivers seat. It'll also make sense to have the air con regassed, I think.
My next door neighbour in Sienna tells me that some travellers have pitched camp on my tennis court and have been seen using my swimming pool for very unhygienic purposes.
Who'd have a villa in Tuscany !?

My cars got 25,000 miles on the clock. It'll have quite a few more at the end of the Summer.
