Brought her home.

Congratulations.

I bought a replica DBR1 many moons ago that is sort of your car’s great great grandfather. Yours is a work of art.

They are lovely to take out on days like these.

Here is my old one (now long gone).

Well done AZ.

Seeing the photos of MOS51E and the car Mrs AZ knew nothing of - Bob, did you choose the wing mirrors such that they are not noticed? Great work. The attention to detail is outstanding.

What? New Vanquish S Ultimate in Xenon Grey.
Why? Slightly long and very dull (for me) story but it led to the dealer and the Factory stepping up and making me an offer I couldn't refuse.
Photos? Well, if you insist.

Stunning and Beautiful. Congrats.

It does seem to be a shame, but the sill plaques of various (possibly all) recent Limited Editions, have stated '1 of xyz'.

The only reason that I have heard, is that there was too much awkwardness, about customers wanting particular numbers.
I wonder if it might be possible using chassis numbers, to find out the production sequence and then have your own numbered sill plates made?

A beautiful car AstonZagato, great choice.
The more cynical amongst us may say it is because they make more than 175 and this way nobody can tell.

This theory is commonplace amongst the Ferrari community where there is true demand for their limited edition cars- speciale / aperta / Tdf etc.

Is a shame they could not be numbered like the Carrera GT and limited edition McLarens. (although I think GT8s are numbered).

Beautiful, understated - a seminal classy NA Aston. Huge congrats [and that phone takes some fabulous pics too)!

I noticed the Alfred Hitchcockesque. Very subtle.

What do photographers call that knees bent, lean back camera holding position?

As Dewi has already said, they are beautifully clear photographs, of a wonderful car.

Enjoy.

Uncomfortable?

Beautiful car btw. Though I’m biased as the Vanquish is my fave Aston.

Small charity motor show in the park across the road from my house. It would be almost rude not to make an appearance.
The little boy I let sit in the drivers seat has already confidently told him Mum that he'll be buying one when he's grown up.

Gave the car a wash after having the window surrounds and boot bar wrapped in black - think it makes the car look much more modern smile

With the Corvette approaching completion (or at least looking more like a car), it was an opportunity for both ladies to meet each other...

We need more info on that Vette, it looks bonkers.

Not mine but I took a modern turbo AM for a drive, a first for me. This was the 4.0 v8.

Looks awesome. You’re clearly pleased with the result - no hesitation in de-chroming?

Would you mind sharing who did it?

Thanks

There's a build thread running here

There'll be some YouTube content appearing soon also - it's something different to the usual supercar stuff; more horsepower and torque than 2 Chiron's laugh

Drove from Cheshire to Somerset Friday afternoon (6.5 bleedin hours!) to take my 80 year old mum for her birthday treat - a helicopter ride along the Jurassic coast where she was brought up. Hood down all the way there and all the way back. Don't know what she was more excited about - the helicopter ride or the trip in the Vantage. She only gripped the side of the seats once and insisted we came back the scenic route through the country lanes!

Journey home Saturday evening only took 3 hrs and 20 minutes. Sunday morning spent cleaning dead flies off the body work and cleaning the brake dust off the wheels.

I'm confident of it setting fire to anything that wishes to park too close to it whilst it's running... biggrin
