So what have you done with your Aston today?

Eating humble pie - no early evening whisky for me anymore ;-)
To those of you who suggested 150,000 miles, do not worry.
You must be amongst the more youthful on here.
The more mature have experience of never seeing 100,000 on the odometer (99999 being the maximum, before 00000 again).
Mind you, in those days you were lucky if the engine lasted that long without a rebuild. How things change.

Drove from Newcastle to hull for the overnight Ferry to zeebrugge then drove to to st Jean du’alps near Geneva yesterday - today been blasting around the local roads, my god they are epic! Just stunning scenery too - what a beautiful part of the world.
Monaco tomorrow all being well!
The Vantage has been superb - what a car! Great on the fast roads / motorways and it came alive on the local twisty roads. Loving it...the icing on the cake being the secondary cat bypass noise - the hills are very much alive!!!!

... I got round to installing the 20m reel for compressor in garage.
Is that mainly for tyres? Sebastian Tombs said:
I may have accidentally driven 40 miles on a Swiss motorway without either realising it until the end, or having bought a vignette. Am I going to be rounded up and shot?
Yes, please line up at dawn.Lucky you, the fine would have been 4x the cost of the vignette...

Good god, what on earth for?
Bought a weekend with a RR at a charity auction planning to take my Dad out for his 80th birthday. Anyway due to logistical complications (not RR’s fault) it didn’t happen in time but I drove down to my parents and took them both out for lunch this weekend. Since it wasn’t his birthday I decided to forgo the Phantom and try a Wraith in the hope it would be a bit more of a drivers car. The interior was incredible quality and the driver’s seat was a revelation in terms of comfort. But despite having more torque than the new DBSS it isn’ t really a drivers car. You can waft around with ease and comfort but it just isn’t as planted on the road as the DB11 althoUgh possible handled better than my old pre-adaptive suspension DB9 on some roads. Anyway it goes back this morning and the DB11 will be back in service. Sebastian Tombs said:

Returning from Como, we crossed the border and entered the swiss autoroute system via a back street and realised once we were on the autoroute that we had not purchased the vignette - crossed the country expecting to be chastised at the German border but again not stopped and no follow up (it was 12 months ago)...Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
