Yes it’s a stunning facility. It's also dangerous to visit because they have some incredible cars. One of these days I'm going to roll back a generation from my current V8 Vantage.

Hit the road very early (yesterday) with a friend of mine to tear up some choice routes in the Cotswolds before heading to Prescott Hill Climb for a little gathering.

It’s what’s autumnal weekends were made for.

Went to Classics and Cake in TW8 yesterday. There were one or two other Vantages there but not sure if they're on here.

I was there with my black Vantage, I arrived about 10:30, ended up parking right round the back! I saw your yellow one and also a grey one parked at the opposite end to mine.

Interesting selection of cars, I'll be sure to get there earlier next time.

Thanks, Sean. I love the colour too. Diavolo Red apparently. I loved the old car and was sad to see it go but now I've got used to it I love this one even more!

Interesting to compare the first of the breed with the last. I actually think the later car might actually look nicer but maybe that's just the colour, oh and the wheels. The interior is certainly a nicer place to be with lots more toys but the leather on my older car felt sturdier and smelt nicer. The new car has softer leather and is more Italianate. I wonder how hard wearing it will be? Sat nav is still rubbish and I will miss Rosa Kleb giving out the directions. Interestingly, compared to the old car I find the throttle response in normal mode is really sluggish and a good boot is required to get it off the line. First day I drove it I got burned off by a Fiesta Ecoboost frown The sport mode setting is more akin to the earlier car but there's an option in the configuration to keep it in sport mode as default. Hard to sense the extra 90bhp on the new car in normal driving though - they're both really quick - but the new car has the edge with the addition of the separate suspension settings.

I'm really pleased with it smilesmilesmile

Funny, I thought Aston used Volvo sat-navs? The voice giving directions in my Volvo sounds more like one of the girls from ABBA scratchchin

Haha not on the DB9. Think ABBA if they had decided to become prison guards instead of a pop band smile
