So what have you done with your Aston today?

Anyway, having paid I now do what I always do which is to forget about the price PDQ, and this is not helping, chaps!
Sorry Greg!Seriously - I can see why. There’s the new hardware (more processing needed for improved map graphics, CarPlay software interface, etc.). And more significantly, there’s likely to be a lot of labour time involved, relatively.
Can’t imagine being able to ask for a similar upgrade from MD’s of other marques. That’s the lovely thing about AM ownership... and potential ownership. Imagination allows the experience to be very special!
My DB9 was due its service, rather than go to my local JCT dealer in Leeds, I took the 200+ mile round trip to Aston Martin Newcastle. Now I wont bore you with superlatives of how awesome they are....but aren't they just awesome.
Fortunately for me the very nice, dealer principle chap was present and he's a very nice chap! A real car enthusiast and down to earth all round good egg. My day ended with me going for test drives in these two beauties; excuse the terrible pics but I was too excited.
To put into context I didn't ask for a test drive, it was offered. The last time I was in Leeds showing interest in the DBS Superleggera, I asked the chap if a test drive was possible, got told no and then he walked off and started talking to somebody else.

Would love to hear your impressions of each car, and how they compared...

Loving it. It’s a fantastic car.
Two completely different beasts.
If I just want to go out for a blast , JNR is the car. I have the performance kit fitted, so as soon as you fire it up, it gets your blood flowing. It’s so raw fast and fun.
With the NSX you have the best of both worlds . You start it if , you get a roar , then it will go to quote mode . You can then have a nice easy smooth drive to your favourite bit of road , switch to sports plus and it becomes just as fast and agile as the Aston , and I think it actually handles better as well. It gives out a lovely howel instead of a deep roar , it’s just great .
The only negative about it is the crap infotech system
Two diferant cars ,at the moment , I can’t pick between them .
However , I still have Aston running in my blood , not Honda :-) :-)

If you could only keep one of them, quick, which would it be?
Today I dropped my V12VS up at my local(ish) dealer for a service and a long list of small warranty niggles to be sorted. They had a gorgeous DBSS in. First one I'd seen in the flesh, and it really was stunning. Every bit as lovely as I'd hoped. So I decided to take a photograph of it, which to my surprise seemed to massively irk some guy who worked there. I was actually on a work call at the time (quality multi-tasking). Such was his ire than my colleague asked what the h3ll all that was about. Very strange. Apparently, someone was due in to collect it and it couldn't possibly be photographed. Well, maybe ok "but don't put it on the Internet!". Bizarre.
Anyway, I've asked for a price for the AMi iii upgrade and am braced to be startled.

Now that is a very tough question which I can’t really answer at the momnent .
I absolutely love JNR , despite all the issues I have had and is a keeper
I haven’t really had the NSX long enough to really compare .
BUT I was going to pull the trigger on a new DBS ( I also have the old one ), but stopped when I had further issues with the vantage . My vantage was one of the last to be made so all niggles should have been designed out by now , but they weren’t , so I thought that buying a new dbs that has only just been launched will have loads of “ new design “ problems.
My plan is to run the nsx for a few years , not lose to much money on it and then get a nearly new dbs that has hopefully had any issues ironed out .
That’s the plan , but I must admit , the more I drive the Honda , the more I am feeling it may be a keeper as well !!
