So what have you done with your Aston today?
Discussion
Well day didn't go as planned
Set off early for the Bicester Scramble and had a nice run up from Kent until I came off the M40 and went to change down and bang no clutch so had to coast round the corner and await recovery
Failure mode is exactly the same as when the clutch failed on my return trip from collecting the car after purchase in May this year
Pedal fine but clutch not disengaging
That time the AM Brentwood said a spring had come out from the friction plate
This feels exactly the same but what is also a concern is the clutch has only been in for 7 months and 13000 motorway miles!
So car is being taken to the Works for repair and I shall be asking for a failure report and an uprated AMR clutch fitted

Hi AstonZagato,
Only Barrington I know is in Somerset, near me, didn’t know they did a car show! Is it every year?
Cheers, David.
Barrington in Cambridgeshire. On the green, outside the Royal Oak pub. Only Barrington I know is in Somerset, near me, didn’t know they did a car show! Is it every year?

Yes, it happens every year (though I didn't know this). It used to be arranged by a local car club. The residents apparently complained to the council. The council then apparently placed onerous conditions on the organisers. The organisers gave up. The car owners still turn up of their own accord. The local residents can't complain to the organisers any more, as there are none.

It’s 1st Friday evening in the month from Easter-ish to when the clocks change. We get a very eclectic mix of cars. Yes, it happens every year (though I didn't know this). All in progress and have asked for the upgraded twin plate to be fitted so next time I will be there
Decided to eradicate a couple of rattles which were coming from the passenger door and glove box glove box was nice and easy, the screw nearest the centre console would not tighten up in the captive screw plate, whipped it off and compressed it in the vice which has done the trick The rattle on the passenger door was at the top, removed the door card hoping to find something loose but all was good with that, nothing evedent on the door itself led me to the two White locating blocks at the top of the door, although not loose I decided to cover them with some 2mm tape, reinstated everything in the hope it was sorted and hey presto it was a success took it out for a run and it has totally transformed the cabin, no more squeaky rattles a successful couple of hrs completed with a good rinse and hoover
