That looks fabulous, I need one too! Where did you buy it from?
I got it from https://www.autowest.eu/In quite a comical turn of events, I was sending the olde plate away for hydro-coating and the dear postie lost it. I had it insured for the AM value new, got my payout, bought an actual CF panel from the guys above and pocketed the change

Looks like a decent price for a proper carbon piece. How was the quality and fitment? In quite a comical turn of events, I was sending the olde plate away for hydro-coating and the dear postie lost it. The car is still in 68 pieces at the moment so I don't know. There is an little area where the weave is slightly squiff, I don't think when it's fitted it'll be a visible. When speaking to the guys that made it, they said this is one piece and because of that, it's impossible to get the weave perfect, the AM part is made from two pieces that are joined, they said to do that they'd have to charge double.
My primary reason for the upgrade was solely that the OE piece was getting tatty, so this will look 10x better.

I found my battery was flat the day after taking my '06 V8V out for a quick blast. I wasn't sure how old the battery was so decided to remove it to see if there was a date on it although it was a Varta with Aston Martin sticker on it. First job was to connect up my power pack so I could move the seat fully forward but I couldn't fing the ignition keys, looked all over the house only to find them in the ignition turned to position 1 (so now I know why the battery was flat) 😏
Anyway I got the battery out to find it was stamped 2006 so it's done nearly 13 years & 43k miles. I therefore decided to replace it rather than try to recharge it. Opted for another Varta. But of a pain getting it in but all done, connected & tested. All OK apart from the mirrors no longer fold when locking the car, does this need coding by a dealer /specialist?

I think the mirror auto-folding is a setting in the car menu.Anyway I got the battery out to find it was stamped 2006 so it's done nearly 13 years & 43k miles. Yesterday, took the Vanquish out to clear out the cobwebs. I've missed the noise - as did other motorists. The number of vans and trucks winding down their windows as you pass them is quite entertaining
Ha, a couple of weekends ago I drove from London down to the south coast to pick up my mum for her 70th birthday thing back in London, and due to the DB9's crappy sat-nav ended up going via Chichester and the Hindhead tunnel. As it was her birthday I treated her (and the few other cars in the tunnel to the windows down, exhaust valves open, 2nd and 3rd gear noise of a wailing V12. I think she liked it. I know I did :-DThe way I see it, it's a public service. People want to see and hear these cars. It brightens their day!
