As it is our last day of sanity before half term kicks in for a week I took the missus out in the aston to Sandsend for a walk along the beach followed by a lunch of oysters and various other sea dwellers at The Star The Harbour in Whitby. All was excellent apart from 2 incidents on the A171 with cars pulling out to overtake before checking their mirrors, and a sheep with a death wish near Hutton-le-Hole.

Cant believe how warm it has been today.

I got my car out of hibernation a week early as the weather is so nice, gave it the once over and a wash and polish. Sorry I haven't been able to turn the photos round

I needed to nip to a village about 15 mins away. I jumped in the Tesla. I drove to the end of the drive before thinking "what the feck am I doing?". I turned round and went back for the Vanquish.

I put some fresh fuel in it, warmed it through and gave the car its head. I'd forgotten how wonderful it is. Fast. Glorious sound.

With the beautiful weather yesterday and today it would have been rude not to.

Did about 100 miles at a Snetterton 300 td. Its not quite motorbike fast but its great fun taking passenger rides around. 140 (bike 170) down Bentley was the best I could manage before putting the anchors on.

Cheers. Had it just over a week - that pic is when I went to look at it at the previous owners place. Pretty good overall but it's suffering from the usual door handle paint bubbling and also today I noticed a tiny bit at the front bottom of the doors .....

Oh well, that's 'hand built' cars for you rolleyes

Good run out with the SCD crowd on Saturday...

Then changed the 8 bar Bright grill to a 6 bar Black one...

Now the question is whether to 'black' the window trims and strakes. scratchchin
