Took my V12VS to a Car Limits driving day at North Weald and learned how much more talented it is than I am.

Well, that was yesterday, in the dry. Sorry for being a day late.

Andy Walsh and his crew will do that every time
Very useful day though
I've been several times, learn something new each time and he has transformed my driving style

Yes, it was superb.

But making a 90-degree turn at 75mph with all control systems off, no throttle, no brakes, just one finger lightly on the steering wheel still feels so very, very wrong. Yet so much more controlled than the graceless pirouettes I achieved with an entry speed of 65mph and both hands clutching the wheel for dear life.

Yep that's a good test of car control!
Did he do it in your car as well?
I'll bet he hit over 90mph doing it?
Did he doing direction control on the power as well?

Picked the DBSS up after having the aircon fixed. And then a recall sorted. And given a reminder of why I never let anyone else clean my car (I haven't touched the paint myself yet). Car had done less than 100 miles when I drove it to be fixed.

Hard water:

And careless washing = micro-marring

Still, could be worse I suppose:

Went to start to prepare the car for the Concours next weekend, but once reminded of the state it's in I walked away.

In fixing the air-con they have obviously used an extended socket.

Had the V12V fully paint protected by the guys at Topaz. Filmed and ceramic coated.

Yes to all the above. The direction control on the power was a bit brief - Mark demo’d it and then we were straight into the coned course to practice everything we’d learned. Regardless, the differences were extraordinary.

I did the day with a few friends, two in Maseratis and one in a TVR. We’ll be going back for sure. We’re not far beyond the consciously incompetent stage so far.

Looks good. What did you think of Topaz? I’ve only ever used Dub for PPF before and thought about getting mine over to Topaz, but none of them seem to have universally glowing recommendations.
