This DBS 59 (pre ppf) after 3 days of Francis at his very best, has now been detailed to within an inch of its life. Let not a spec of dust settle on it before the film is applied. nerd

Wow!

Great photos EVR.

Annual service time

Ahh David I recognise your Car ......It was in with Aston Installations several months back with a red interior and in pieces . when my DBS was in being fitted with the cameras and iPhone system

then again when she was finished at Beaulieu , James & Lenny did a fantastic job on your car with the bespoke 360 degree camera , the first fitted to an Aston.

Lenny showed me the work done..... very impressed with the 360 camera system

Hope you are enjoying her

wife took some movies of Beaulieu , your car is 07:30

It certainly was, the guys at AI had it for 1/4 of my ownership while all the work was carried out laugh
They've done a great job with the whole project and in my "winter project" thread, on here, I detailed how they went above and beyond.
The car is great, a trip to the WEC at Spa was a great way to reacquaint myself with the car and having CarPlay and 360 cameras is damn nice indeed! Thanks for the link to the clip too thumbup

They look like cycling gloves to me. Nice though!

Thanks.. I guess? biggrin

They have proper auto history, they were my dad's, he was using them on his dad's 1971Alfa Romeo Montreal and 1973 BMW 3.0 CSI so I believe they are legit.

Took mine to Silverstone for an Aston Martin Experience (Xmas present from the wife). New Vantages were all left hookers. Did 10 laps of the National circuit and god that car is rapid. Probably too quick for the road...?

Didn’t make me want one but mine (4.3) felt rather underpowered on the way home smile

Interesting. For the Experience customers, it presumably does not make too much difference (if autos), but why would AML want LHD cars at Silverstone. I could make a guess, but what do others think?

Part of the AMR academy I guess. There are more euro circuits than British on the calendar so makes sense. Zandvoort is coming up and I’m slightly tempted smile

Apparently they were launch cars which Silverstone are now running as Experience cars. Some had US style rear bumpers. The one I drove had Arabic writing on the door mirror glass.

We are off topic briefly, but the cars used in the MIRA Experience days and now Silverstone Experience days, are presumably eventually sold.

We have sometimes seen mention of the 'KX' cars, but I have never read any comments about ex-Experience cars.
It sounds as though the current batch of cars, will never be sold in the UK market.

Probably nothing wrong with a Vantage which has been 'pushed' daily, but such a history would not be something on my Pre-owned, preferred specification choice list.

I *think* I fixed the annoying intermittent buzzing noise from above the passenger window. Was originally convinced it was the seal against the glass but today decided to go for the kill. Fir tree clips in the cant rail appear to have been the culprit. Replaced with new and quick road test - no more buzzing.

One thing I do like about these cars is it is possible to fix little (very annoying) things like this!
