So what have you done with your Aston today?

Not heard of that before.... car is a Feb 17 delivery and I've not had a recall? Only happens when flat out at around 5300 rpm, originally was only doing it in 6th gear, so not very often..... now doing it in 3rd, 4th and 5th as well, but not every time. It just stops accelerating for a second then carries on. Feels like a fuel issue to me, all very strange
Dear MarkI am convinced you have experienced the exact same problem with your Vanquish S that I have with mine.
The problem being that under flat out acceleration at about 5200/5300 rpm in any gear other than first the power can, just for an instant cut out.
I could get mine to do it pretty much at will. In the end I videoed it and my dealer sent the clip to Aston’s technical boffins.
They watched the video (still have a copy if you want to look at it) and immediately suggested it could be to do with the engine crankshaft sensor. The gap between it and the flywheel was very small and there had been some examples of contact between the 2. Mine was checked and there was the faintest of score marks on the sensor. Part was changed and fitted with a 0.5 mm shim to increase the air gap. Problem solved
Funnily enough some months later, I was watching a YouTube video clip of a road test on a Vanquish S where the guys were trying to max it out on an autobahn. As clear as day in 5 th or 6th gear their car does exactly the same as mine and yours. I can send you the link if you are interested.
Did you get yours sorted and have you experienced any other issues
