Very easy to do and AM sells a complete package with everything needed to convert the front and rear bumpers on the early Vantage to the newer ones.

I dont think so - when you see aftermarket exhausts they are all to fit the model years with a split 2011/12
That's due to the headers and cats. Nothing to do with the rear portion.

Yes, 100% the exhausts are not different in fitment. The back boxes are totally interchangeable from 2006 V8 through to 2017 V12VS.

For the V8, the 2011 MY break changes the manifold/cat assembly but they are still interchangeable with each other if done both at the same time.

For swapping bumpers, leaving a 4.3L exhaust system on there, it won't matter.

thanks all. decide to order the body kit, now. i have been speaking to AM Dealer, they saying AMR kit is coming, but i am not keen in to that aggressive looking. but those wheels from that kit are just awesome. may consider it. now deciding to get the V12 Vantage pumpers with the side sills.

any guys have successful experience for upgrading to tailgate ? the dealer is checking for me if my 2006 model can fit it, but i have checked some AM parts sites saying that the facelift tailgate wont fit the pre-facelift model.

any guys got any ideas about the tailgate issue ??

In my earlier post I mentioned the tailgate. ' One contributor made his 4.3 Coupe look like a V12 Vantage, including the correct bonnet and tailgate.I would normally have thought why bother, but the photos did show a great looking car,

That contributor did comment that the later tailgate fitting was not easy, but was eventually possible.

It is not always easy to find an old post on here though.

As the tailgate is glassfibre, perhaps an easier alternative would be for a glassfibre specialist to reshape your existing rear diffuser.

What are "pumpers"? I don't dare google it! wink

The AMR Aerokit only partially overlaps with a V12 body kit so your info is a little muddled. It can be fitted to V8 Vantage but only for those cars from MY12.25, which I assume is when the 'enhanced lip' tailgate became standard, so you probably need that first.

The AMR Aerokit includes
  • Front splitter (for a V12 style bumper)
  • GT4 CF sills (replacing either V8 or V12 sill)
  • Front Dive Blades (simply bolt on to any front bumper)
  • Rear Wing (bolts on to tailgate but I believe it needs to V12 style shape)
You can buy the GT4 CF sills separately already from AM Racing - see the other recent thread on this which is certainly worth considering. Also worth noting is that there will soon be a lot of used V12 Sills on the private sales market. AMR Aerokit is a dealer fit accessory, so all the new AMR Vantage customers who have ordered it will have a set of brand new set of "old" sills to sell.

The AMR Wheels are a completely different item and are not included in the AMR Aerokit.

It's very rare for something to be available from AM in a package but not on its own. Off the top of my head, the only thing I can think of is the N420 Style Package (carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser for the pre-facelift cars). You can't buy the lip only or diffuser only, both must be purchased together. But for the packages AM offers, typically each item is available on its own.

For the AMR styling package, the wheels are available on their own (I've priced them out for someone), as are the side sills (I had them on my grey V8V long before they became an "AMR" part). I haven't checked into the rest specifically, though, so I'm not sure if the other parts of the AMR aero kit can be had piecemeal.

But keep in mind: When AM offers a package of parts, the price for the package often represents a very significant discount compared to buying the parts individually... typically 40%. For example, the bumper upgrade (going from pre-facelift to current front and rear bumpers), the exterior black pack (black 6-bar grille, black window surround trim, black tail pipes), and the sport pack (coilovers, control arms, sway bar). Even the V12VS carbon fiber grille is offered at a package price, which does have a significant discount compared to buying the mesh and carbon fiber frame separately.

The front splitter and rear diffuser of the AMR aero kit will not fit a 2006. You have to have the updated front and rear bumpers. The side sills will be fine (I have them on my grey '07). The dive planes (canards) should be fine, but that's a guess assuming the bumper fascias share the same contours where the dive planes bolt on. I'm not sure about the rear wing.

My ha'penny worth?

Why spend 7K on a great looking car to make it ......look just like a different great looking car?

If it were me, I'd spend 7k on making a great drivers car go a bit greater...

Each to his own though!

Hi, I have done everything to my 2007 Vantage to make it look exactly like a V12S bar the engine and brakes.
Car 43K
V12 Bonnet
Carbon Bonnet Vents
V12 Wheels
V12 Tailgate, Blacked out panel
V12 Carbon Front splitter and Bumper
V12 Rear Bumper and Carbon diffuser
Black Roof
6 Bar Grill
Clear and black eyeliner rear lights
Bilsten adaptive suspension.
400 bhp upgrade
Sports rear box
It has now done 31k miles.
So I'm at a stage where I either get a supercharger and upgrade the brakes or sell my baby (car) and get a V12.
I really don't want to work out how much I've spent (probably 65k) but if I could get 45K for mine I would go for the V12.
I love my car but to upgrade the brakes and fit the supercharger would be about 23K
What would the car be worth after that?
Who knows.

it looks great & with 400bhp should go ok too

why not just enjoy it as is - where are you going to use the extra performance of the supercharger?

Not entirely correct. The standard back box used on the V8 Vantage ( like this ) will fit all Vantages. The earlier ones were a little more fruity sounding than the later ones. The V12S back box ( like this one ) won't fit a car with the transmission oil cooler in the diffuser.

Loving all the work on your car. Looks great.

I started going down the V12 route on my 4.3 2006, but didn't get very far based on cost to upgrade versus probably the resale value.

I'm currently deciding what to do next as I would love a V12, but not sure the man maths can push to that.

Might have to settle for a 4.7 with a few upgrades.

That’s probably what I’ll do Pete (and the sensible option) , not sure I could live with just a ‘standard’ car, like mine to be different. If I stretched to a V12, no pennies left for upgrades or up keep if things go wrong.
