Some Astons are not garage queens (V12V)

This is actually quite encouraging, even with 60k miles, it's still up for £66,000... Nice.
Also, the V12 lump is only really just getting run in about now so probably quite a feisty machine!
Interesting that this car is now getting into uncharted territory for a Gaydon motor. Not many with that kind of mileage and it isn't just the engine that will have had wear and tear. The price is encouraging for the age and mileage, but the new owner will have to accept that not many can provide anecdotal evidence of reliability at such a mileage and of course warranty won't cover wear and tear. Also, the V12 lump is only really just getting run in about now so probably quite a feisty machine!

That said, why shouldn't a V12V be able to do 150K miles - it is after all a car which is not being particularly stressed, at least in the engine area.

No reason. My local dealer recently took a V8V in part ex that had done 150K miles on one clutch. But how many CCM discs would a V12V owner have got through in that time at £6.5K per pair V12woollie said:

I wouldn't have any concerns about the engine, just the rest of the car! The difference in general screwed togetherness in mine between 3k miles and 20k miles was massive. If anyone ever needs to buy a Christmas present for someone at Gaydon, I think Loctite would be a good shout. That said, why shouldn't a V12V be able to do 150K miles - it is after all a car which is not being particularly stressed, at least in the engine area.

I hope that's not the norm. My V8V is at 7k, and is doing very well on the screwed togetherness thing. My 993, at 71k, still feels great, and I love that about it. I'll be very unhappy if the Aston gets squeaky and rattly.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
