V12 GT3 update
Discussion
In your opening post Barry, you referred to a strong preference for a manual gearbox.
There have been a few comments (rumours) lately, about the possibility of manual gearboxes being reintroduced as an option. I think even Dr. Palmer has mentioned the matter in one of his published interviews.
Have you persuaded them to build your GT12 as a manual?

That is bloody ugly. Looks like its crashed into Hellfrauds bolt on tat department. What the hell are the stupid decals on the door about? Has Aston got so tight on money that they've sacked the design department and left it to the YTS yoofs.

The OP is handing over £0.25m, to help keep our beloved Company going.
I think;
GT12 at full chat through Eau Rouge = Beautiful.
GT12 in a Bromley High Street traffic jam = ????
Perhaps best to keep away from traffic jams.

Surprised the car in the pics doesn't have the centrelock wheels which I much prefer and of course will save weight - this is not a car to skimp on
Front splitter looks a little more practical than the full on splitter on the other cars which is sensible for a road legal car that has no front lift option
Think the colour scheme in the recent pics, as with the white launch car, is a mess - that big yellow side slab with the thick black stripe running through it is just plain wrong - don't mind the rest of the yellow as this is a car that will take a loud scheme so front & back are fine but the sides just look dreadful
tbf by the way, the centrelock wheels haven't been on the white demo/test car in recent outings, but they were in the initial vids
As for Bromley high st - is that any different to a GT3RS (any model), a speciale, lambo technical, etc ? It's a trackday orientated car.
The price however, in this instance, is linked to the rarity and production costs, not the performance - the new McLaren 675LT at almost identical money will almost certainly run rings round this.

Yes, I think there is a difference, Jonby.
Historically, the perception of Aston Martin roadcars has been of an understated, beautiful, discrete body shape, where there is an everyday practical reason for each part of the design.
Loud has been reserved for the sound, not the appearance.
We know the reason for the GT12 design, but not many shoppers in Bromley will.
They might also think the badge is very tarnished and needs replacing.

Having said that, Aston also make racecars and this simply looks like one of them. My guess is that rightly or wrongly, we will see more loud (looking) Astons over the next few years
Plus in this instance of GT12 , it's more the colour scheme of some of the examples we have seen that makes it stand out so much rather than the shape - hopefully most owners won't go for so many of the garish graphics

Agreed. Far too Kahn As much as I love Aston, if I was in the market for a car like this, it wouldn't even get a look in over the new McLaren 675LT. That's how a track day special should be done!

It is also a car that you could quite happily have as your only 2nd car - to me, the GT12 makes much more sense as part of a multi car fleet with a 7 or 8 figure value, as it's not fast enough to track frequently and insufficiently faster than a regular V12V to make sense if you don't track it often.
But you don't have to paint it garishly - look at this in all black

That's more like it..........maybe just with a little yellow or orange highlighting on for instance, callipers, rear spoiler end plates & door handles
