So it's farewell V8
Discussion
It has been an amazing journey with my Vantage V8 roadster it has introduced me to an emotional roller coaster with Aston Martin where even the downs have had so many positive experiences and this comes from the worst complainer of all time!
Every nuance experienced has had an upside whether that be head office visits, FOS, days out, meeting fellow owners and for me the power of customer service is how they put things right. I had the fun of pulling fuse 22 and thinking well what's this about then found a man, bought a book and put fuse 22 back and took out fuse 15. Now you see why I am the lurker of lurkers what a tt I would have felt! 3 weeks ago I took a look at my V8 I started it. Floored it with roof down and thought it does not get any better than this. Taking bends thinking I arrived 45 years ago screaming and covered in blood and thats how I am going to go, oh the drama huh.......
The beloved V8 went into the boys in Cambridge for a service and a a few warranty tweaks and I asked the question can it be done on a Saturday morning? Not really how about we keep it for a week and lend you a car? Sounds great what do you have?
We have a lovely yellow Tang Vantage V12s roadster that you can have? Wow what an offer its my birthday as well I am so happy with my V8 what can go wrong?
There in lies the conundrum I loved my V8 and had a wonderful week in the V12 I gave it back and I started to force feed my brain one is not better than the other they are both amazing in different ways and I am so happy with my V8.
So there we have it a happy V8 customer
The End
Well no not really I am off to Cambridge tomorrow to pick up my new Vantage V12s roadster in tungsten silver and will post a few pictures once in my hands I have attached the pic at the dealer for now.
I was warned
I listened
I said no not me
I bought
My only dilemma now is do I become V12staffie
Thanks to all that post on this forum you are all legends in your own way and have been a massive contribution to owning an Aston Martin for me.
Cheers

well done !!!
I asked about that car .. great deal was on offer.
Do you know what deal he got? I think that's between him and the dealer unless he shares that info. He may have fallen in love with it and paid full asking, so saying you got offered a great deal might be a surprise to him. I asked about that car .. great deal was on offer.
Maybe it's just me...
OP, fantastic car, congratulations.
Thanks all
The roof and inside are black and the deal was good enough to lure me 😀.
As for the yellow tang it was just too much when a bloke started to talk to me at the lights that it was great and the same colour as his van!
Can't wait to pick it up it just dawned on me I have forgotten something? Oh yes when I traded my 911 for the V8 I said to the wife I would never do something like that without a chat again! Oops 😁

She also told me never to do that without a chat again. If I'd asked she would have said no so just did it and told her afterwards, end of story. Hundreds of reasons not to buy: it is completely unnecessary, it is not practical, the boot is too small, we can't take our three year old son with us, it is "money just thrown away" and so forth.
We do have a Range Rover for the practical side so no need for another practical car, only looking for fun and it needed to be an Aston, preferably open-top.
So a V12 Vantage S Roadster was the only choice. I'm taking delivery on the 26th of this month, I can't wait!
