I am a novice when it comes to Astons. Bought mine a week ago.

My nervousness here might be the (too) low mileage. 2400/year - is that healthy for a car engine ?!

Just asking ...
Andy is your a V12V ? great mileage. I bough mine with 3k miles ,private no warranty and the car has been superb!

Just updating this thread. I called to see the car, its gorgeous but unfortunately has a deposit on it, so on my way home called in to Grange, took a test drive and the rest is history as they say. biggrin I shall miss my 4.7 its been a lovely thing to own.

Thanks. It does have LW seats, I realise they are a bit marmite for some people but in this car I prefer them.

Congratulations with your purchase, car looks stunning, lightweight seats too which I think are obligatory on the V12 Vantage!

Congratulations. Elegantly menacing is how I'd describe your car! Great choice and I'm definitely in the lightweight seats camp. They suit me so much better than the regular sports seats in my old V8. I think they suit the character of the V12V too. Lots will disagree, but that's my view. Hope to see you and your car in 2016

Thank you chaps. Look forward to meeting you all at some point. I'm collecting the car tomorrow, normally I'd be too excited to sleep tonight, but having worked a 19 hour day, I'm about to go out with the light. biggrin

Enjoy yourself today you are going to love it. I picked up my 12 cylinder rocket from Works last week and I have been blown away by how good these cars are.

Have been following these V12V threads for a while now and thinking this could be the next step for me. Always thought I'd go Ferrari V12 to replace my much-missed 550, but I really am feeling the love for the V12 Vantage - just a great package and good value, all things considered. I live only a few miles from AM Works, too, and find it very difficult to drive past without stopping for a browse/drool. Having spoken to the guys there am very impressed with the whole set-up and the prospect of Aston ownership appeals on many levels. The day my will-power evaporates and I take a test drive is I suspect the day I'll take the plunge!

I'm still looking for advice. biggrin Took the car for a proper driving today. The sun was out and all was most definatly well with the world. biggrin

A few questions, for those who know.. Is it worth investing in the winter tyres and where did you buy them? If you have the summer tyres do you just take it extra carefully in the wet? Also the sport button is epic, when would you not want to use it? and finally, although my car is garaged at night when its outside an in heavy rain or being washed does water pour over the engine through the bonnet vents? Thanks.

Take it out in winter??? yikes As soon as the gritters come out, mine gets its PJ's on and the garage heating on......
No fun in the wet, can't get much power down and then it will only need washing....
Sport button on all the time, its a reflex action. You can't help it.
Yes, water pours in like heat pours out. No big deal but I wipe down under the bonnet when ever it gets washed anyway.
OCD anyone?

I changed from the original PZERO Corsas to Michelin Pilot Supersports. Now its fine in winter, quieter and they last longer.

I have been told the intake is low so you have to be particularly cautious about floods.

Must admit I changed mine as well. Put Pzeros on instead of Corsas. Made a massive difference
