Mine was a combination of selling my XKR and my pay off gratuity after 35 years in the Royal Navy.
Selling my 911 and after 24 years Army getting a seriously well paid job in hot sandy place. Then buying the car and because still working out in hot sandy place never seeing it.Ed50 said:
Yes that does appear to be a picture from Burghley in 2014.
Where's the royalties……...
Hi Ed, looks like someone sold the use of the image to a photo library and the Daily Mail will have paid them a licence fee to use it. Whoever took the image either sold it for a flat fee or gets a proportion of the licence fee. A well stocked photo library is a very good business to be in!!!!!!Where's the royalties……...
Hi Ian,
It was some guy from Lincoln way according to the spy network (wife) that apparently took it.
She's like a blood hound when she gets started, so she soon tracked down the perpetrator.
No doubt he sold it to the news paper for a vast sum…….
I never realised how much loot was involved looking at the prices on his site.
It's not rocket science to find out who it was if you root about a bit.
I'm not going to mention who it was but he wasn't there with a car and I did not know of his being there.
Obviously I shall now have to insist on a no camera policy at this years Event to avoid such replication………..
Bet he didn't put bugger all in the charity pot either……

Phew - I though you were reaching for a peaked cap with a wagging finger there Ed! Actually as its private land and an organised event you could sell commercial photographers's passes to permit commercial use I'm sure. Its just the balance between not discouraging free publicity and getting a bit more dosh for the charities. We don't know the bloke from Adam.
