These pictures made me like the DB11
Discussion
The DB11 looks even more great in the flesh. Very good presence, still a good link to older Astons in exterior design, and great technical innovation with the airflow on the front, side and rear.
Interior looks very nice too, however you see (and feel!) they need a few more months for making it more robust (too much torque/movement between the parts, e.g. too much space between the upper door strip on the inside and the side window, some buttons not feel very high touch but little too soft/weak plastic, etc). Design wise it is very Aston like, less clean/pure then the DB9/DBS however, sometimes too much lines, so I would avoid bi-color, and just take 1 color to keep it more classy.
Inner space is noticeably larger then in DB9/DBS, seats are better and the digi-dash looks not over the top to me and far away from the S-Coupe (only the touchpad is directly recognizable as a S-Coupe part). Let's be happy some advanced electronics and infotainment will come from AMG/Mercedes, so Aston is back in 2016 again with this new car.
I assume production cars will have a choice of more (better looking) wheels and better build quality of the interior, and we are ready to see the new DB(11)S/Vanquish and of course the new V8 Vantage (DB8/10) with the AMG GT engine with more BHP from there!

Interesting to note that they're using handed wheels. I guess not many cars have a spare these days, but it's still a brave choice to have dedicated LH and RH wheels.
Agree that it is brave to have different LH and RH wheels, so they look the same from both sides, BUT I wonder why they did these "turbo prop" wheels look turning the wrong way around, both sides (LH and RH) should be mirrored to show the right direction of the wheel when driving forward! Not a problem, just swap them side to side to change the direction of the spokes.KarlFranz said:
If you look at the video I posted later, you can see this car has body-colored pillars and a contrasting black roof.
You can tell from the third picture it's definitely the silver anodised roof strakes though the lighting does make them look like magnetic silver. Body coloured roof strakes won't be available until the 'launch edition' vehicles are out of the way, until then it's silver or glossy black.dre_d105 said:

The car on the show floor has the silver anodized pillars. It also has black brake calipers, black diamond-turned wheels and a light interior. The car in the private viewing area with the body-colored pillars has red calipers, anthracite wheels and a dark interior.

After watching the video and seeing some more instagram pictures true enough it's body coloured. Please look at the video. The car on the show floor has the silver anodized pillars. ...Currently though the Vanquish stilllooks beautiful and, dare I say it, slimline and sleek compared to the seemingly brutish looking DB11...I await to see it in the flesh.
I love the Vanquish and it doesn't seem to have dated with the DB11's intro. But what I like most about the DB11 is the larger grill. For me the whole essence of Aston Martin is the presence of that grill as the car approaches, and is the defining DNA of the brand. I think they've followed this very well with the DB11.The head and legroom sounds more promising. Will have to try for size. Will definitely widen the market if it's more usable in the rear.
I hope there is an '11 at Burghley in a few months time. No pressure Ed
Thought I'd quote the whole post and pictures. Can't get enough pictures
For all those commenting without seeing the DB11 in the metal, hold fire until you do.
It really is stunning up close, the details all over are exquisite. One thing that is noticeably different in the metal is the rear end - the bootlid looks a little awkward in photos but very graceful in reality.

Some wheels are designed to draw air away / towards the discs. Granted in 99% of cases it won't be needed and given there is a choice of wheel it probably doesn't matter on the DB11 Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
