Very nice class win today for the GT8 in the Nurburgring 24hr. 8 laps ahead of 2nd place and only beaten in the overall by the race-prepped GT3s
Some great driving from Darren Turner et al!
Great to see after a tricky start to the WEC GTE season. LM 24 will be the real test on 17/18 June! Some great driving from Darren Turner et al!
According to the WEC website, the LM 2017 Balance of Performance Regs (http://www.fiawec.com/en/regulations/31) will result in 10kg extra weight for the 95 & 97 cars over 2016. Not sure if that'll make much difference. Incidentally the Ford GT is running 20kg heavier.
I'll be at LM24 as normal but it's not exactly looking promising

The Ferrari & Ford are streets ahead and the somewhat clumsy BoP system is simply not working.
This will of course be the last season for Aston running with Vantage, a car never designed to be a racecar at this level
They have a very different opportunity with all new Vantage, which will form the basis of next season's WEC entries, as they have been able to involve AMR from an early stage

Most of the cars will have been between £200k (a low spec car) to £230k depending on how far down the options list you went, Q involvement etc
I think there was one initial sale at close to £300k at Centurion, other cars appear to have sold at £250k-£270k from what I can see, albeit you never know what discount to advertised price has been offered
Given that position I'm slightly bemused that GT12 owners are still trying to get north of £400k for their cars. Best of luck with that
No plan to sell mine for a very, very long time. Having specced it from scratch it feels like part of the family

Given how many cars appear to have been flipped I think premiums are virtually guaranteed to have been paid but getting people to admit by how much is a different matter.
Fwiw I know when I got mine a very similar retail priced one was " sold " on at slightly more than + £ 49k.
And no imagination as to spec or colour.

All true, though I'm still hopefully the 98 car might have a sniff in the AM Classhttp://www.fiawec.com/en/race/result/4512

Indeed. They have had some horrendous luck the last few years, but it's definitely their strongest chanceAlthough having an Alpine on order gives me reason to now have a team in LMP2 to support too

List being circa?
The ones i know of had list of between 200 -210k and sold for 240 - 250k. The premiums have become more elusive as there are so many for sale.At least a couple of dealers were calling customers of other prestige cars in their group and telling them the GT8 was certain to make big premiums so a lot of cars ended up with owners whose sole intention was to sell them on. Its a real shame as it is a cracking car. Its presence on road is second only to hypercars and the sound is addictive.

There is a solid chance there. Last year they suffered bad luck and that race costed them the championship. This year we will have 3 Vantages in the AM Class and all of them kicked off this season very well in ELMS and WEC

Consider that, at least, 3 of the cars for sale I am aware of are effectively missing either key options (notably the titanium exhaust) or the "third pedal". Indeed, you find these with the lower asking prices (at GBP250-260k). The rest of the lot are moving albeit a bit slower (most recent sales are the Halo White at Cambridge and the Orange at Romans, I am aware of).Speaking with fellow owners, the Insurance policy's Agreed Value premium reflected is approx 60k+ although generally some cars achieved +50k over list
