I was the neighbourhood yesterday so popped in to Nicholas Mee and I have to say the GT8 really is something when you see it in the carbon. So much presence and with the full aero, LW wheels and graphics I really don't think you can compare it to the road biased V12VSs etc.
I mentioned the calipers and the guys there were pretty unphased by how easy that would be to change to line or black if it was a blocker for a potential customer.
As a Hardly Green owner, I'm biased, but Stirling Green really is a stunning colour and one of I'd love to spec on a new car one day.

Whoever specced that interior needs shooting! http://www.levencarcompany.co.uk/aston-martin/pre-...
Would have looked miles nicer in Pure Black with full Lime stitch including the dash. (like mine! )

Great, would be dull if we all liked the same things
agreedalso need to see it in the flesh - stitch looks like yellow in the pics but in the spec states it's lime - it doesn't stand out the way the green leather in the door pulls does and some more splashes of that green would improve the interior no end
even if the stitch does look better in the flesh, it could do with say green gaiter to gearstick and some inserts on the steering wheel, or for instance the centre armrest/console in green leather - just something to give the interior a bit of a lift. But that is personal opinion as you hint at. This one probably has a more polarising interior than the stirling green one with Mees but it's the callipers on the Mee car that really grate with me. Appreciate it's relatively easy & cheap to change compared to changing an interior, but I just don't get the thought process behind whoever ticked that box on the callipers

think it looks great inside and out
Well outside, yes it looks great, but the inside is a mess - sorry, but it is.Have a good look at the 55 pictures on the Leven Car Co website link posted above:
- The alcantara on the steering wheel edge is black, whereas on the dash and seats edges it is grey.
- The leather on the door pulls, gear gaiter and steering wheel centre is black, whereas on the centre console, door inserts and seat centres is grey.
- The stitch on the seats edges, centre console and doors is lime, whereas the stitch on the dash and seat centres is grey, and the stitch on the steering wheel and gear gaiter is black.
- The lime stitch on grey is really poor contrast against grey and doesn't work, whereas lime on black on the door pulls works really well.
- The rear cabin is carpeted (didn't bother to tick the leather option), and is therefore black in contrast to the grey headliner.
- grey alcantara w/lime - seat edges
- grey alcantara w/grey - dash
- grey leather w/lime - door cards and centre console
- grey leather w/grey - seat centres
- black leather w/lime - door pulls
- black leather w/black - gear gaiter
- black alcantara w/black - steering wheel

I know 3-4 did. Nice of him to write personally to apologise for the delay
I binned it the moment I read it. Something about a driving course? No thanks.I was initially expecting this car "end of 2016 / early 2017" and made it clear to my dealer I intend for it to be supplied on winters as I want to drive it straight to the Alps. All was on track, seemingly. December passed, January passed... nothing. With the April 1st RFL changes looming I was reassured the car will be registered 31st March, even if its still on the production line. Wishful thinking... a month ago I was told "2 weeks", now I'm told another 3 weeks.
Needless to say, I had to make alternative arrangements for my ski trip. A Porsche I'll add... and bloody fantastic to boot.
There comes a point where you lose complete interest and, to be honest, I'm not even sure if I want the thing any more. On paper it's the car I've always wanted, but the road to owning it has been so painful that I now resent its arrival. I'd go as far as saying that for several different reasons (including not being 'allowed' the colour scheme I wanted) it has been the most deflating car purchase I have ever endured, with most of the shortfalls being due to AML's ineptitude.
If you hear of an unregistered car being offered around, assume I'm the fkwit who threw in the towel.

Actually joking aside, there have been 2 GT8s including that one, delivered with the lightweight Lithium battery set to the wrong position by the factory. The car drives normally, then randomly cuts out. Will potentially restart but cut out again shortly afterwards
It's an easy fix, so I'm told, when you know what the problem is. But on both occasions the car was left stuck for some time while the problem was diagnosed
Just in case anyone has a GT8 (or another future AML car with a lithium battery) and has that issue
