The GT8! Carbon fibre bodied £200K 440BHP 7 Speed V8.

Congratulations, you must be getting quite excited. Colbalt blue is not my cuppa tea I'm afraid Tim but my vantage is Hardly Green so I'm pretty conservative. On the plus side I know you will drive it, share videos of it and not lock it away.
Personally I think it doesn't need the wing end plates, mirror caps or lipstick in orange. I also would not do carbon fibre wings or GT8 badge. The non magnesium 7 spoke wheels look like they will be a royal pain in the arse to clean with a slit in the spoke. If I was in your position I would be looking at something like this. Subtle with a small bit of flash and the important weight saving stuff.
The Kopi bronze looking incredible on the One77 especially in the sunshine. I'm really hoping there is someone out there with similar tastes to me who will post pics of the real thing.

Smee, Why did you decide against the halo centre flash?
I think it would balance the car perfectly.
Looks a little bottom heavy to my eye without it.
In my configuration there are no parts where the orange directly touches the blue, it's always on the carbon fibre or separated from the blue paint - I quite liked the way this balances out with the black effect of the carbon giving a border to it, just as per the finish to the accent pack sections around the lower parts.I think it would balance the car perfectly.

I appreciate my attempt at 'drawing' the front grille paint was spectacularly bad, as it's just the inside edge that is painted on the GT8 grille.

Great Choice on the colour Tim.
We love our Colbolt V8s gets so much positive attention.
Blue and orange will look amazing in the flesh.
I've been a massive Cobolt Blue fan since the V8 S launched, given it's also a natural Vantage colour it was a no brainer for me on GT8.We love our Colbolt V8s gets so much positive attention.

Looks great Tim
Seeing so many different variations from all that have ordered cant wait to be part of a few pictures when we all take delivery.
I am at AM on Friday as mine is mid build and I am told I will take delivery mid to end of November of number 8/150
hoping GT08 AML is still around for a spin. I nearly did at Goodwood but some bloke called Shmee150 was sitting with Marek!
Chat soon :
I suspect that means yours was one of the ones I've just seen? If you're on the line now it should be in your hands in about a month I think from my understanding.Seeing so many different variations from all that have ordered cant wait to be part of a few pictures when we all take delivery.

I'm afraid the red one has now gone, literally I had it until midday yesterday and now it's gone to the workshop for prep before handover - that was the very last booking with it on the press fleet before it leaves.

I think one of the best things about this car is how many variations we are going to see and how dramatic they will be - I wonder what number will actually end up being the same colour setups (outside of the Halo schemes of course).RobDown said:
It's going to look great Tim!
Note you've not gone for the CF roof - think that's the right call as not sure it would work with the cobalt blue.
I'm still umming and ahhing about the CF badges. But think I will start without, guess I can always buy them afterwards
To be honest the main thing on the roof for me was the price, I'd say I'm indifferent visually and therefore I didn't really consider it twice. The badges are a complete non-necessity but I think they look good so ticked the box, plus it avoids introducing another colour in the white of the badges to the car that's already quite overloaded with blue, orange and black.Note you've not gone for the CF roof - think that's the right call as not sure it would work with the cobalt blue.

Positive review in Autocar today of the GT8. There were no surprises, great chassis and handling with amazing sound ( titanium exhaust ). The downside was minimal, slightly long gearing and the usual about the speedometer and tachometer being difficult to read. Plus, of course, it's already sold out.

Here's my spec. Looks pretty tame compared to the ones I have seen here!
Mine is basically the grey and blue halo scheme, just with the China Grey swapped out for Magnetic Silver.
Was it simply the £12.5k for the Halo Pack, and the base colour swapped for gratis?

Anybody ordered one in the Aston racing green shades?
I did, out of 2 in AM Racing Green. Although I don't have a render, it will almost like that:http://www.bramley.com/carsales/details/Aston-Mart...
only difference being no wheel centre-lock mechanism and yellow stichning inside as opposed to grey
