Just to update this thread - Adrian from TH Boler noted that my AM glass key had a chip in in, on the day I picked my Vantage S up. He offered to have this replaced. Sure enough, I received a genuine glass key carcass through the post yesterday and successfully transplanted the electronics today, which took around 15 minutes (the buttons are a bit fiddly).

So, Boler arranged for a service, had CarbonFibreRepair.com completely refurbish the front splitter and replaced the chipped glass key, all at no expense to me and with no quibbling.

Frankly, I'm delighted at the service I received and would recommend them.

I'm glad you're happy , but the cynic in me would suggest that the owners has paid for this by receiving a lower amount than agreed while they keep their full commission.

I'd like to be proved wrong mind.

I can only comment from the buyer's point of view, to be fair. When you spend this kind of money on a car, you expect to be looked after and for the dealer to action any concerns you might have. So far, job done.

Glad the car is going well. Have you got any new pictures showing the car in sunlight?

No, but I have a feeling that tomorrow is the day! Ceramic Grey really sparkles in the sun. Unfortunately, some indescribable oaf decided to open their door against mine on day three of ownership, adding a small dent and chipping the paint. Been to a place called Excel Dents in Stoke Mandeville whose mobile Paintless Dent Removal guys actually do some work up at Gaydon to make the bodywork perfect on press cars and special orders, but it's in an awkward place and they told me to live with it, which was very honest of them.

Sigh. It was so perfect.

unfortunately you can't account for the actions of some of the general public. First one always hurts the most though!

I'm going for Ceramic on my upcoming V12VSRM. As someone that always goes for "boring" colours, Ceramic is as spangly as it gets for me!

I was seriously considering leaving my immaculate V12V with these guys on SOR (is on PH classifieds BTW). Now slightly worried about some of the comments on here?

Main worry is “possession 9/10’s” and all that. What happens if these guys go under, or my car disappears somehow? Any advice gratefully received. Cheers guys

You have answered your question.
'possession 9/10’s'

In theory of course, going under would involve an administrator, and only the actual assets of a business.
Disappearance I presume would be a nightmare, because in insurance terms, the car would have willingly been handed over.

Why not try a Main Dealer? some of them need stock and they also do SOR. Safer even though there SOR is great value.

Just heard another horror story regarding a car being SoR with this outfit. If you ever want to consider using them (you would be mad to given the google reviews) feel free to PM me for the detail

I once wrote a lengthy and detailed review of my SOR (sale or return) experience of TH Boler on this site, but it was removed due to a negative tone.
Obviously, removing the negative stories skews the feedback towards the positive side, which is not 100% useful to readers here.

There are reviews on other sites. One in particular I had to upload my Invoice before they would publish my review.

Google these guys before committing to selling through them.

Thanks

Wouldn't do a SOR with any dealer , if they haven't got the resources to buy it outright I could not be persuaded otherwise.

Possession and all that...
I've done SOR a twice, always had good experiences and gotten more than other dealers offered outright.

The risk with SoR is that, let’s say for example, you have a Tesla to sell. The dealer finds a buyer and then phones you up to say “sorry there’s no interest in your car but we’ll buy it from you at £10k under the SoR price”

And they then sell the car to the buyer they’ve already found

I’m sure TH Boler would never do that......rolleyes

My comment on not doing SOR was more along the line of the dealer being financially unsound and the higher risk of going bust or more likely not releasing the proceeds promptly.

Totally understand Buster, but if you Google TH Boler Reviews then this thread comes up. It's serving as a very important piece of consumer information for anyone looking for information

If you get my drift....

Hallo all,
I see Timothy’s name has resurfaced !
Interesting that people finally starting to be (rightfully) wary of this mob.
As someone has said, P.H have removed non-complimentary but TRUTHFUL posts about Boler’s - and it appears, not just my comprehensive critique of 18 months or so ago.

I have just vented my spleen again but then chosen to save the text for another time as I wonder if the Mods would remove it again to pacify one of their revenue-generating advertisers ? Potentially to the detriment of innocent P.H’ers.

Let me just say, if you thinking of doing any business with this mob, just google the reviews. THEN google the company - get a copy of the accounts - they are FREE. Then look at the size of their debt, compared to their assets !

And last time I looked, they had a NEGATIVE Net Worh !

Would leave YOUR asset locked up behind their gates, on their premises ?

Adminstrator or not , as has been said above, “9/10’s” - and all that and who wants to have the sort of experience we had with them, trying to recover my £45,000?

I don’t actually own a barge pole but if I did, I wouldn’t even trust that to T.H.Boler Automotive Ltd on S.o.R !

In fact, in the scenario Rob alluded to, I believe someone emailed me this year, to say he was bringing legal action against them, with proof of an under-sale along the lines of the Tesla example.

Watch this space then.

Karma.....has very sharp teeth.

Rob, I totally understand about THB , but I haven’t made myself clear (again) , I wouldn’t enter a SOR agreement with any dealership , be it them or even an official AM dealership.
