Hi all,
started up the aston this morning and the airbag warning stayed on on the dash
question: Is this easy to reset and get rid of or is it something to worry about?
All seems fine with the car
Any advice welcome
Thanks
Dave
I would reset it, but only once. If it comes back, off to the dealer. Needs to be reset via the body port, not the OBD port. You'll need something like an Autel 802 or similar to communicate with the body port.started up the aston this morning and the airbag warning stayed on on the dash

Many thanks for the comments so far - Very helpful
I will get this sorted at my local garage on Monday
Im just wondering why the fault has come up? Could if be a loose wire in a plug connector somewhere?
Assuming the reader device will be able to work out what airbag is causing the error?

Your man may not have a reader with AM specific body information. If that's the case try using one of the Volvo codes (XC90 for example) as I think the airbag fault codes can be cleared from this. Many thanks for the comments so far - Very helpful

Yes, it could be a loose wire in a connector. As above, if light comes back on within a day or two it is probably this.
Gents,
Went to the garage today but he could not clear the fault. His reader recognised it as an Aston and "saw" the engine ok but he could not see the airbags
Any one have any sugg. as my next course of action?
Im trying to avoid the main dealer route as im sure they will just want loads of Money and everything will be wrong with the car in their eyes
Will the readers mentioned earlier in this thread definatly clear the fault? Im happy to buy one as less then £200 but may need some guidance and help in case I mess anything up
All comments and help welcome
Thanks
