How much difference is there in the sound? Just louder or a change of exhaust note? I like the sound of my V12VS but wouldn't mind some extra volume when in the mood.
Very similar in sound to a V12V with a secondary de-cat, betting at the top-end it will be a bit louder though - but haven't been on any runs since having it done for anyone to follow me and confirm that.Whilst I had my car serviced I asked about the Performance Pack and they said it wasn't available yet.
Gaydon told me that they're still waiting for the diffusers to come back from their supplier and until then no pictures would be available!
Eager to see what it looks like as this will depend if I'm going for it or not. Not sure a diffuser à la GT12 would look good without the other bits that are on the GT12, it might look kind of out of place or aftermarket, especially on a Roadster. I guess we just have to be patient. Anyone else on here has been given more info?

Just had confirmation that Performance Pack diffuser won't look the same as GT12's, the existing diffuser will be changed and will take the same space as the existing one. No pictures available as it is currently being made for AML.

I specifically asked my dealer to speak with the factory about application in the manual earlier this week. The feedback was Yes it's coming but will require additional work on the software side whereas the SS is already 'in place' from the GT12. Couldn't put a timeline to it but it's definitely Good News!

So, does anybody have any more news?
I've not asked yet but my manual V12VS is due early next week and I am tempted...
Small print at the bottom of the AM page for the performance pack states available for all V12S Vantage except the V12S Manual, why would that be?I've not asked yet but my manual V12VS is due early next week and I am tempted...

An automaker retailing a power upgrade kit directly through its own dealer network is very dodgy ground re legislation compliance, in that the 'kit' Must pass all original entry to market emissions legislative requirements the base model passed - therefore dodgy because power upgrade often means reduction in emissions performance. The GT12 (7 speed ASM trans only) was homologated with the 'kit' as part of its std specifications, so much in the same way N400 was homologated with a 'kit' it' was an easy paperwork exercise to show compliance in market when the kit was taken and fitted to any 4.3L V8 (in that case it was called AM power upgrade). Perhaps 7 speed manual (because shifts aren't done by robot) is pushing boundary of emissions limits and on top of that a power upgrade kit is non compliance? Or, they think the cost of the new homologation activity and specific sign-off works for manual derivative won't be matched by revenue generated from the very small number of V12VSM built and % of those likely to modify. It's easy to figure why they are not clever at upgrades for the entire first gen Gaydon era cars (2004- circa 2018) - they completely missed that trick and now the era has gone, and their chance on those cars has gone. Probably they will get it right on second gen Gaydon ere cars?
Here's finally a picture of the diffuser which comes with the Performance Pack. They didn't change much did they? I see the lower blade which was previously coloured is now carbon with a few fins added. Because it's carbon it looks a bit massive now. I thought the tail pipes would be central hence the need for a new diffuser but they seem to have kept the existing exhaust finishers. Anyone on here has more info?
