I was told : Michelin say these must be fitted as a set of 4. I always do fit the same kind of tyre on all wheels, but never been told that before.
Unless you fit all 4 the tyre guy doesn't get enough commission wink

Try Hankook and Nexen, both we way better than the Pirelli particularly in the wet.

I think I will try Yokohama Advan Sport next time, they are available in correct sizing and great reviews, supposedly similar performance to Michelins. I have run them on another car over 10 years ago, albeit not sure they will be the exact same model now.....

I assume if Black Circles belongs to Michelin they may not supply key competitors´ products.

Try sourcing SportContact 6 tyres at Oponeo. It looks like they have them.

I will be waiting until March/April for the PS4S tyres to be back in stock.

Thanks for advice, no luck - just the following are coming up in the search-

Pilot Sport Cup 2
Pilot Sport 4
Pilot Sport 4S

Pliot Sport 4S = PS4S - this is the tyre that everyone is looking for and it is sometimes available in at least the smaller "non S" sizes for the Vantage

Which sizes are you looking for? The tyres should be available for the V8V.

If, like me, you are waiting for PS4S rear tyres 275/35/R19, I have received the following news from Michelin today....

The MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4s in the size 275/35/R19 will be available 28/03/2019, the same tyre size but with a load a speed index of 96Y will be available 27/03/2019 and 100Y 02/05/2019.

Can anyone help me with what's the difference in the real/odd track day world of 96 v 100 load rating? 96 seems to be 96-710kg and the 100 seems to be 100-800 kg. Not much difference therefore not much difference to wall stiffness/ride etc???

So I have ordered the 96 rated MPS4S as the standard tyre spec is 96 and my use is vastly more on the road so if they are a bit more comfy then that'd be grand! Oponeo say 4-5 days to deliver them. Let's see...

Would people recommend the Michelin PS4's for V12 Vantage too? M rears have gone, currently have Pirelli's on the car and never been that impressed with them.

Will still have Pirelli's on the front though, does anyone think I should avoid having different makes on front and rear?

I'm going to leave the Potenza's on the front. So, the balance at the edge will be affected but I have lots of tread left on the fronts so will use them a bit. Many will be horrified, I am sure, but I reckon it's just getting used to the way the car handles, the rears will be more planted than the fronts and off the track you really shouldn't be near that limit. Will advise when I have driven with than combo and confirm or rush my order for the fronts!!!!
