Seems to me that there may be a bit of a common ownership with AM owners.

Many own or have owned a TVR and the same goes for Range Rovers.

Are my thoughts and observations correct or am i way off the mark?

Caterham, lotus route via alfas (loved them), bmw m3 (hated) to Aston Martin

Other car is a Disco rather than a RR (needed the extra space for 3 kids)

Went from a run of 4 x Jaguars to a DB9 now a Bentley Continental. Other house cars are a Octavia VRs and Abarth 595 but will shortly be replacing the Octavia with a Volvo XC60 T5.

Never had a TVR, Lotus or RR - and never been tempted by the first two (although the Evora is lovely looking).

My car history (those worth mentioning) are a couple of MK IV Supras (the first turbo, the second N/A), a couple of Porsche 911s (the first N/A, the second turbo), and a couple of Ferrari (both N/A, one of which I still own).

Your Aston is lovely, but I have to say that the +2 would always attract my gaze. It must be one of the prettiest cars ever made.

Guilty as charged, had Tvr's , Porsche and now a Range Rover shares billing with the Vantage. ( although I am having guilty thoughts about changing for a Cayenne Turbo ......again !! )
Edit .... That's for the Range and not the Aston obviously

Almost!

I have the Vanquish S and the DB9 Volante but my DD is a BMW 750. I also have Landrover for taking the dog for walks in, so 3 out 4 British cars! Sadly it's difficult to find anything else, let alone British that can compare to the features I use heading up and down the motorway for hours in the 750

Not me, history of ford, then BMW and Merc before the Vantage which was my first premium car.

Now have a Porsche and the Vantage, but keeping an eye on the electric market, that new Jaguar iPace looks very attractive proposition.

I think maybe you patriotic Brits lean towards the local marques, which is not a bad thing as there are so many great ones to choose from... imagine being a patriotic Frenchman...

Anyhow, other than a Triumph Herald many, many moons ago, my only previous stiff upper lip type vehicle prior to the Aston was a Discovery which served me well for about 6 years. Currently and for the last 7 years vehicle #2 is an Audi S6 Avant in a rather fetching shade of Java Green. It has been terrific, and I wouldn`t hesitate to buy another.

Currently trying to work out the man maths to swap the Evoque for a Bentley GTC V8S, although it might have to wait a little while.
