I have just purchased a 2 year old Audi S8 to sit along side my 11yo DB9. The Audi is supremely comfortable and brutally quick (much quicker than the Aston)

I loved driving my 06 db9v so much but because of seats, luggage space etc it was not suitable as a daily so traded my RR Sport for a Rapide S best decision ever, every day I look forward to getting in the car. Weekends and if the sun is shining the volante comes out!

And of course the best looking: the Vanquish as my Aston:

That's awesome! Well done... I am a very helpful person and would gladly take some of the burden of this problem of yours!

Enjoying the contrast between the new Tesla daily driver and the, well, driver. Amazing how much less hardware the EV actually has. Have been driving it all week - but looking forward to the weekend with the true beast.

Jaguar F-Pace. Just got it a few weeks ago.

This week we've had a run to the Black Forest to see some friends and it's been absolutely brilliant.
Highly recommend.

Two V8's and an old girl.......she's still in for restoration at the moment, but look forward to getting her back at the back end of the summer ! I won't mention the FIAT on here, as thats just a practical run around I've nicknamed "The Skip"........

Thankyou......lovely thing with old cars, they have such a history that goes with them.

Its had one owner before me, a Mr V Roberts of HKL Ltd who ordered it in Hong Kong to his home address, been shipped over to Portugal in the late 80's, and then imported over to the UK in 1995. The restoration chap took the outside panels off mentioned the inner wings are totally straight, and the sills are the only thing thats suffered in the british climate.

Its quite funny, overtaking people on the motorway at 80mph, people aren't sure whats quite happening.......its only covered 56000km since new, and the mechanicals and steering are like new......Like the Newport Pagnell Astons, it was the last Handbuilt Merecedes......they just don't make them like they used to !!!!!!

Since the sport of drag racing is an acquired taste, I decided against a build thread in readers cars, but to update the post above about the Corvette, now the chassis work is complete bar the wheelie bar, it was a good opportunity to roll it outside at the weekend to take some photos.

Hopefully I'll have the body on it in a few weeks time, then it'll start looking like car, albeit more a Hot Wheels car than something normal and not a few sandwiches short of a picnic thumbup
