North East Meet and Drive

For the inaugural North East Drive & Meet on Sunday 7th May we are going to visit one of the most picturesque parts of the NE (and some of the best driving roads in the country) - The North Pennines.

Meet at The A68 Cafe (DL14 0JF) at 0930 for 1000am for welcomes/tea/coffee/bacon butties. http://68catering.co.uk/cafe.aspx

Then it's a 60 mile round trip through Weardale and Teesdale stopping off at the magnificent Bowes Museum for hopefully a few good photos. They have a great cafe as well if a cuppa is required.

Then it's either back to the starting point or you can wind your way home from there.

Looks like we have another Vanquish joining us.

Unfortunately I can't attend this meet but I live near Scarborough and there is some great driving roads towards the North Yorkshire moors, especially the road from Pickering to Castleford, known and the Blakey Road. Maybe a thourght for a future outing, a run down the coast and then in land and up onto the moors?

Next time perhaps?
I know that road well and I think it would be a great run out.
Also if you fancy venturing further up north we have an offer from the Newcastle dealers. A run up the Northumberland Coast with lunch at a fancy pub thrown in. Late August perhaps. Not bad eh?
