Wow, what a thread!
Congrats on the V12VSM spec matey, it sounds truly amazing, only potentially trumped by the Dreadnought! I just cant wait to hear the final details of this.
Thanks Adam , you're posts have really helped me if I'm honest with you .Congrats on the V12VSM spec matey, it sounds truly amazing, only potentially trumped by the Dreadnought! I just cant wait to hear the final details of this.
I'm extremely excited about the v12vsm , I'm astounded that a modern car can feel so "real" .
I'm genuinely excited .
As for the dreadnought , I'm just hoping Aston can get this to work one way or another , I'll keep you all posted .
Btw Guy contacted me , he has samples of doom grey !

Reality is GT12 saved relatively little weight with CF panels and other 'standard' items - seems mostly through options like perspex windows and lightweight battery, no seat motors, etc - all very achievable. Engine is more or less achievable on current V12VS, brakes not too unsimilar, so in reality, it's about getting that wider track in.
Will be following with interest !
Yes absolutely very little real weight saved . It's more the look and feel of the wider track I'm trying to create , I think Aston will find a way to make it work .Will be following with interest !
Fingers crossed

I must say Aston Martin have been absolute class acts to deal with
There was a time when Q could sometimes be a little tricky to deal with, but more recently nothing but praise on here.
It would appear that Dr Palmer is leading on better customer relationships.
A business basic, but sometimes companies do not seem bothered, which of course soon creates frustration.
Look forward to hearing more about your new Aston Martins.

doom grey? Love it!
Just waiting for "Big Bang White" and "end of the world black" to arrive in the Q pallette
I'm going to make Doom Grey available to anyone , apparently some colours get locked to special projects Just waiting for "Big Bang White" and "end of the world black" to arrive in the Q pallette
Congratulations! I am very excited about your project.
Specing my own AMR with my more modest budget (yes I am aware of the relativity of that statement) ... I am looking forward to your updates and enjoying your journey!
I for one am going to do a large print on quality archival paper of my Q spec drawings ... so I can have "from drawing board to actual car" documentation.
Are you doing anything special to record the process?

This car is a V12VS Vantage with a few q bits added . I haven't really done anything like what you have done , I may well ask if there's anything they can share
