Unfortunately not - it looks like a Vanquish Zagato.

Am I the only one to find the earlier Vanatage Zagato more stunning even if slightly over-egged with the spoiler? From what I understand, they didn't sell them all (around £400k a pop when new, IIRC?) with around 60-70 finally made. Considering the Zig and Zag racers, they also have very solid heritage.

For me it's the dream AM. Sadly likely to remain just that...
The V12V Zagato was originally limited to 150, that then reduced to 101 and I think the numbers you quote Nick are pretty close. I remember being at the Zagato factory in 2013 when they talked about the need for the rear spoiler for stability and tried to say 101 had been sold but quickly admitted that wasn't the case, but wouldn't confirm any numbers.

Cars seldom come up for sale but you definitely wouldn't lose any money if you bought new. I think the mistake was a combination of having a standard engine and its pricing. £400k when you could buy a coupe for around £120k made it look mighty expensive. Mind you very, very special cars.

Mind you, it could be fixed. There is at least one car which has been fettled by BR and has the power output the original car should have had.

Thanks for your comments, Ian.

It did cross my mind that it would be interesting to get a V12V Zagato and ask AM/Q to bring it up to V12VSM spec. Perhaps also look to replace the wing with a more pronounced ducktail lid. It would be unique and even more desirable (if that's possible!) IMHO.

Mind you, you'd have to be pretty bloody-minded to consider this thinking about the costs likely to be involved and that you'd still technically only have a V12VSM "in drag". But since when did logical come with AM ownership? wink
