Thanks. No, not an ultimate! It needed a bit of prep work and, unbeknownst to me, they popped on a red rather than black S. They thought it would be a nice touch and I rather agree!

I've added PPF to the full front end, had it ceramic coated (including on the piano black inside). The whole car is really brought to life now - which I'm relieved about as I had worried Quantum, if not well cared for, could look a little flat.

The only other thing I did was get the chrome trinket lid lacquered in piano black to match the rest of the centre console. I'm so pleased with that little touch - never understood why they did it in chrome (though I suppose it works with manual cars with the chrome surround!).

Very nice.. Good idea to PPF the black lacquered bits of the interior too. Something I wanted to do to my DBS if I was able to keep her. Mine was Quantum too so I'm biased. biggrin Congrats on a stunning car thumbup

Gorgeous car! Very well done!

So funny.. I just switched to the red "S" the other day.. Scored one on ebay and had to have it. Mine is Storm black and I'm planning on refinishing the calipers in red as well.

You'll regret it if you don't do it! (or at least you'll be forever looking at and coveting other Aston's rather than enjoying your own). Sounds like you've a decision to make. For what it's worth, having made the decision and having signed the order form, I've zero regrets. Too many reminders that life's too short soapbox

How is life with the Quantum DBS going? Nice to see that the DB9 v DBS heartstrings debate has had some history, as a newcomer to this thread in 2020, I've been wrestling with the same internal debate over my lovely Quantum 2010 DB9 Volante (With now 20" wheels which has made all the difference to the looks) , or whether I spend on upgrades for bit more power and stopping grabs, or swap for a full fat DBS Volante..... currently seems another £40/50K to make the jump - do you think its worth it with hindsight and experience?
