Sorry Emails are at work, there was only one so definitely yours :-)
The black one with high miles and LWs sold whilst on the phone with the salesman, moved onto the Alloro, sold. Went to see the Skyfall locally at Wilmslow to dismiss the sports seats, fell in love with the colour and the sports seats are ok - comfy if not as sporty?? as the LW so bought it. Meant I didn't travel onto Leeds to buy the Lighting Silver car (sorry Max) - that's a great car BTW and only 350 miles! Leeds said they had sold three V12V in a week! Popular little old things aren't they.

Interesting watching Sam STG on YouTubes vid driving the three current V12 Astons. Seems he, like most fell for the manual V12VS. Though I think his info is a bit wrong here!

How many left suggests just 27 manual coupes up to mid May 17 - seems low to me, great if it's true :-)

Anyone got a contact at the factory that can confirm?

STG video was indeed great, as I recall pre event he really favoured the vanquish (who wouldn't) but like ALL journos he fell for the little vantage with the big character (and engine).
Anyway, back to the last query - anyone got accurate numbers of U.K. manuals and why are there still a few for sale :-)

I was aware that someone else was interested in the car and the specification was perfect for me so I didn't hang about. Funnily enough if I had missed out on the Alloro green car I would have gone for your skyfall one. They are my two favourite colours available with the sports pack option. Having read the advice on this forum and tried them the lightweight seats were a must have for me.

I think those figures are up to end of 2016.

No. I believe there are no build slots left for any vantages, whatever the variant. There is of course going to be a limited edition run out model but there is no official information on this yet - just rumours.

Correct

MY17 spec cars are still being built over the next 2-3 months, but no more can be ordered

MY18 spec for Vantage, should there be one, in run-out or any other form, has not been officially announced

I was at an event recently with people (mostly non-Aston drivers currently in Ferrari, Audi R8 etc) driving DB11, Vantage V8S, Vantage V12S, Rapide S and Vanquish S.

Vanquish S won the day in most minds but the V12S won the hearts and a lot of fans. Buyers of other cars really don't know what they are missing. Many on that day had 'driven a Vantage when it was launched and didn't like it'. I let a Ferrari/Maserati owning friend drive my Vanquish yesterday and he couldn't believe it. Convert in the making,

I guess not many have experienced an Aston let alone a V12, those that have will no doubt want one eventually.

I was surprised 6 or 7 years ago when a DB9 demonstrated it could keep pace with a 996 Turbo (with X50? power pack)

We will just have to educate people :-)

No no, keep it our little secret ??
That depends if you are a potential buyer or potential seller :-)

In all seriousness, V12V in all it's guises is definitely a car you have to drive to appreciate. I think it;s appeal to people with no particular affiliation to any one marque is arguably greater now than a few years ago, as the differences between analogue and electronic become greater

For all it's failings, V12V/S has amazing steering, brakes, brake feel, handling, noise, etc plus of course the immediacy of a N/A engine and the engagement of a manual box. It pretty much has no rival in that respect

Well said Jonby

A prettier grown up version of my old 996 GT3, simply an engaging car to drive - almost without peers for that and its sense of occasion :-)

Lovecars have finally posted the follow up video to Seen Through Glass's similar review of the DB11 vs Vanquish S vs V12VSM. A bit of fun and certainly worth a watch and some more fantastic shots driving through the Cheshire Gorge.

Lovecars - Which is the BEST V12 Aston Martin and who wins the RACE!?

Well my weekend suddenly got much much better biggrin

And yes, it's manual. 1.5hr drive back in rush hour traffic around the M25 certainly allowed me to get used to the gearbox layout!

The noise really is addictive isn't it? 3000rpm seems to be the sweet spot in traffic biggrin

Heading to a car meet/show/BBQ on Sunday, planning on getting some GoPro and walk around shots done then too.

You've got yourself a beauty there Beefmeister, a the rarer Roadster too! Good call.

Getting used to the weirdly sprung gearbox gate is taking me time.

Good job it still pulls like a train when changing 1st to 4th !!

I think you are going to enjoy that yes

Fantastic looking car and the noise they make is addictive. My recommendation, if not already done, is have the secondary cats removed to enhance your fun times even more. Now an OEM product so no warranty issues. Increases noise very nicely but not too much for a roadster IMO.

Have fun!!!!!
