Slatted grille to replace that £2.50 mesh will be on the options list, silver at the top fading to black at the bottom, and will cost £1,500
Rear's nice (bit too F-type in the wing lights?), side OK. I quite like the interior though that Merc thing in the centre needed toning down. Front is very marmite.

They fell the need to spell "Aston Martin" on the rear bumper just in case nobody recognize it as being one... Don't like the front like most people here and I think it should have quad exhaust to fill that space in the rear. The interior is very modern but little too much Mercedes for me... Power is very nice but don't like the exhaust note, too much like a Jaguar F-Type V8

Well I think it's great! As with any car looks different in the flesh, even when a minging yellow colour! I didn't like the Vanquish when it came out, now I've had 2! I think we all struggle with "change" sometimes, especially those who love and cherish their current Vantage. I think this new model is great and will help fund more AM's to come
I was the same with the DB11 and Vanquish (although I've owned neither). I hated the new design for both, especially when compared to the older generation but seeing them in the metal they were both growers.I loved the old Vantage (hence the handle) and even though I was initially repulsed seeing it alongside people and some of the configurations I feel I'll fall for it.
When the first Vantage came out Top Gear magazine ran the front cover in different covers. I bought every edition to have each colour on my wall.
I'm in less of a rush to fanboy this edition but I think I'll get there.

I don't have a firmed up spec yet (colour choice being in limbo at the moment, along with the wheels perhaps), but it'd be great to hear what kind of spec and options other guys went for?
I specced one at the preview (already had a deposit down) and went with magnetic silver and black everything else with alcantara interiorIt's unbelievable in the flesh and I think will look great in the right colours....but it's certainly marmite so far!
Oh god. what a disappointment! its like a BMW M3/MAZDA MX5/ MERC melted car crash .... and whats with the duck beak rear end:
It staggers me, I really think the design department have no idea of what an Aston Martin is/should be. What happened to British subtlety, the understated gentleman's sports car 'for those who know'
That angular rear qtr glass looks so cheap and no bright trim...?
guess they ran out of cash when they got the grille mesh and had to dash out to B&Q. that whole grille/mouth thing is just, plain awful.
Why does Marek insist on breaking the back of the car with the crease at the rear door, like the one-77? that with the sill scoop 'peaking' at the same point just makes the whole thing look like its high and on its toes! there will be no amount of lowering or large wheels that will help that car have 'stance'!!
Oh man... what a c*ck up, this should the volume seller. I soooo hope its better in the flesh.
Freshen the design team and use the salaries to put into making the damn thing lighter, they have already started BEHIND their competitors...
Uhhhhhh

Just on the train on the way back home from the London launch event.
Had an absolutely epic night and got to see both the Lime Essence press car and the GTE race car in the flesh, indeed I even got to sit in the GTE too
All in all fantastic hospitality from AM and made me feel very special (seems Kermit has become quite well known!)
Just want to say that you really should stop pre-judging the car based on pics, it is far far nicer in the flesh, so get yourself down to a dealer or a launch event and take a look at one for real. It really is stunning!
Oh and I will say it one more time, Lime Essence is GREEN not Yellow!!!!

Totally disagree, I think its worse in the flesh but enjoying the marmite conversation....Had an absolutely epic night and got to see both the Lime Essence press car and the GTE race car in the flesh, indeed I even got to sit in the GTE too

^^^this all day long. We have the old Vantage buyers defending their territory, understandably, (the outgoing model is very pretty) and the people who have never owned an Aston chipping in with green eyed idiotic comments. This car is the future of AM and I wish them all the best...read any professional write up and you’ll get a true unbiased opinion. For me it takes AM into the next decade and it is enough for me to buy one. Onwards and upwards AM, you are doing a great jobHad an absolutely epic night and got to see both the Lime Essence press car and the GTE race car in the flesh, indeed I even got to sit in the GTE too

So found an image........and I think it looks better with the plate on, it makes the gaping mouthing look a little less....well......gapping !
Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh and hopefully I’ll like it. Even if I do I’ll hold off until at least the ‘S’ is released (four pipes I reckon).
Anyone know whether there will be one at Works in a couple of weeks for the DB4 GT Continuation launch drinks ?

Do you think Q will remove the iPad and mouse thingy for a small fee?
Check the specs on the configurator, the mouse thingy is already a deletable option. As for deleting the ipad screen, how do you expect to be able to use Nav, audio and all the other functions that need such a display without one?
