What this one? It's certainly an improvement over the road car...
FFS sake, not again....... I have a cargasm every time I see this..... for me, there is only one other racer that comes close.... apologies in advance if you're not a fan... actually, bugger the apologies..... Sorry, wrong pic.... I'll try again....
Nope.... wrong pic again...
FFS.....................
Ah! This is it
Totally evocative.... to me.......
Now that we have touched on the Vantage race cars, this might be of interest.
There was some lobbying to have the rule, ' GTE Am class cars must be one year old' changed.
I don't think that rule has been changed, so we may see 'old' and 'new' Vantage GTE cars, on track together during 2018.
( I know the photo shows a Pro car, but I don't think there is any visible difference. )

Anyone seen the Christmas Card from Aston Martin this year... mixed between race and street car... Happy Holidays
I'll give it a couple of hours before one or both of the following happen:- Somebody photoshops the front of Santas ride to make it look more traditional.
- Speedraser declares if Santa turns up at his house in an AMG propelled vehicle he can
P*ss off back to the North Pole.
Happy Holidays everyone

If Santa shows up here in anything that is not REINDEER-POWERED then he is certainly not welcome! Is nothing sacred???- Somebody photoshops the front of Santas ride to make it look more traditional.

Visited Gaydon yesterday, and they had a bunch of new vantages in different colours being made as test vehicles. I was not allowed to take photos unfortunately, but it wouldn't have made any difference, as the car looks very very different in the flesh! I didnt particularly like the new look (i think the current vantage will go down as one of the all time prettiest cars) however a lot of that was due to the lime green! I saw the car in plenty of different colours: silvers, reds, blacks etc, and it looked fantastic! I know looks are always a personal thing, but on this car I wouldn't pass final judgement until you see one in the flesh and not in lime green!! Oh, and interior looked much better in person as well.

Agreed.I saw the red one at the Sevenoaks viewing & thought that it looked so much better in the flesh. The front looks odd if you lie down and take a photo from that angle but that's like taking a picture up someone's nostrils (not pretty).
The cockpit felt really neat and I loved the driving position. Not too keen on the all tan interior on that car (I'd prefer a black instrument panel & steering wheel), otherwise lovely.
I'm pretty sure it will be a great drive, new turbo motor notwithstanding.
Need to raid someone else's piggy bank now.
At Autosport Live today saw silver new Vantage alongside Shmee's GT8. Massively preferred the GT8. New Vantage is not for me, the old one was gorgeous from the day it was introduced.
Also saw the new TVR. Preferred the look of it inside and out, if not the quality of finish of the prototype, to the Vantage. More powerful, lighter, much cheaper, and very good people involved in the development. Could the TVR replace my V12V?

Just been to the launch of the Vantage at Grange Welwyn and, humm... it's lovely, of course, it's an Aston Martin but...
The nose/grill is still ugly, the shut line across the front of the nose is an eyesore, the bonnet lid is a massive slab of metal with little relief it does nothing for the front of the car, the headlamps appear mean and too small emphasised by the massive flat slab of bonnet. Still can't understand why they've deleted the signature Aston strakes. The exhaust tail pipes looked unfinished. I agree with everyone, it doesn't Aston Martin spelling out in letters on the rear below the Aston wings badge. Inside, surprisingly there's no glovebox, theres a shut line running down the dash which is out of alignment with another shut line below, where the glove box lid should be, that is out of alignment by about 2cm, most odd. The black plasticky knobs and dials cluster in the centre console looks cheap and tacky compared to the current Vantage, indeed the interior looked less classic than the current Vantage. It was a beautiful shade of red and i have to say the paintwork looked stunning.
