I wouldn't run away from a brash colour either but then I'll not be a prospective customer until 10 years depreciation has hit. paperbag
I'm just curious as to how some of the 'new' prices are actually charged, obviously this being PH we're all powerfully built and buy our cars with a bag full of used notes, but a wander onto Stratstones website and the 'classic' Vantage is still being listed as £799 a month with a £15k dealer contribution
http://www.stratstone.com/new-cars/aston-martin/va...
So how long before these deals are offered on 'new' Vantage, I wouldn't have thought it'd be long as there are some huge dealer contributions across the entire Aston range, something I can't seem to find at Ferrari, etc. scratchchin

I was just about to say the very same thing!

With all the talk of late being about the front, I'd forgotten just what a mess the rear was.

I was called by a dealer last week as I had previously shown some interest. Said they had an early build slot available as someone had ordered a Q spec car and been pushed back. I said I was interested and willing to place a deposit so put together a loose spec, dealer said they would get right back to me with a price. Not heard a thing since so I guess they do not need the business.

When looking for my Vantage a few years ago here in the US. I found that the norm. Extremely apathetic customer service in sales. I don't know why, maybe it's their way of weeding out non serious buyers, they feel if you really want the car, you need to do all the leg work. I was put off by several dealers, till I found one who was fantastic to work with and bought a car from.

I would steer clear of any first year car like the plague, give Aston a year or two to sort the car out.

In your humble opinion of course. Others, including the full order book, disagree.

Jeez welcome to dullsville sensible town USA! Can you tell me what Aston need to sort out exactly in the first year or two? Given both the engine and electrics have been around in AMG Mercedes for a number of years?

Perhaps he lost your number? biggrin

I'm always amused that people who like the car always post a photo of the back of it. What are they planning to do, drive it around in reverse? hehe

Yeah, that looks great! Rear 3/4 certainly it`s strongest angle! Playing on the configurator and Yellow Tang looks amazing on this car, Frankie...

Well the full order book being helped a lot by dealer ordered cars, I guess the dealers will be the ones disagreeing! smileP

Yellow Tang is a strange colour. It looks better on the confgurator than in the flesh (IMHO). I’m tempted but it’s probably too late for me now...car is specced and locked pretty much.

I’ve seen an order book...trust me it’s not just dealer cars. wink
Edited to say I wanted to know where I was on the list...saw no names. I do realise I’m battling against the tide in holding a torch for the New Vantage on here. biggrin

Can I just say congratulations. clap I feel a bit mean about some of my comments. In truth I have started to warm to it, it was just a bit of a shock when I first saw it, but I think it could well be a slow burn. biggrin I'm looking forward to seeing the V12 when I hope they add vents to the bonnet.

I think the front end was a shock for most of us. I didn’t really warm to it when I saw it at Gaydon. Thinking about it afterwards I put it down to the colour (red wasn’t my cup of tea, although I do admit owning a pair of red trousers!!laugh) and certainly not the tan interior. I do realise that some do love that colour combination...just not for me.
Playing with the configurator getting it in the right external colour with pure black interior it started to grow. Works had a DB11 in magnetic silver with black surround. It looked very good, I was sold. One coffee with the Barista later and he’d swiped my deposit when I wasn’t looking!!
I appreciate the looks aren’t to everyone’s taste and hence the mean comments...but that’s OK.
