I too had a good look around it at Works yesterday, and for me personally...........i'm out.
I agree that the front looks far better in the flesh than any pictures I've seen, so that was a nice surprise, but the car in general didn't make me feel anything at all. I was sorely disappointed once the bonnet went up, just acres of matt black plastic, nothing of the old guard left at all, which I really think is a shame
The back looks good for sure, but from the side on profile I just cannot get F Type out of my head (hey all, this is an opinion not me wishing to start an argument ). Somebody else I spoke to whilst there commented that the headlights look like an MX5. Whether you agree with that or not is personal I guess, but the fact somebody said it at all is a bit off putting.
I also found the interior to be a bit too busy too, but I guess all those gadgets need controlling too so what's the alternative really.
I'm sure it'll be amazing to drive and I look forward to doing that, but as it stands today I wouldn't buy one. When I walked outside there were a good few "old" Vantages parked up, both V8 and V12, and to me they're still a far more visually appealing option.
Fair play to anyone that has ordered one I'm sure it'll be an amazing machine. It's quite possible the looks will grow on me and I suspect that the Roadster will appeal to me much more.
Seeing the new car in the flesh has seriously reinforced my opinion that I need to get into a V12R ASAP.........the dilemma now will be whether that's a 6 or 7 speed. As I've mentioned before, I like the bolder colours, so Orange, Blue, MFW etc etc (no grey, silver or black).........., so if anyone happens to know of anything like that languishing in a UK showroom then please feel free to PM me.
Was there on Sunday morning as well and actually quite liked it. I had all but written off ordering one over Xmas, back thinking again now.I agree that the front looks far better in the flesh than any pictures I've seen, so that was a nice surprise, but the car in general didn't make me feel anything at all. I took a couple of snaps while it was in the showroom (better background)
Aston Martin Vantage 2018
Aston Martin Vantage Interior
I've almost come to terms with the front end, particularly if it would be possible to get the surround in body colour, although it's still bad from some angles.... But now the thing that keep sticking out for me is the terrible bonnet front shut line, it really shouldn't be there. Mentally I keep thinking boaty mc boat face when ever I see it now for some reason!
I'm guessing I'll not be changing my mind :-(

i find that the darker the bodywork, the better the front/rear splitter/diffuser blends in and doesn't look so 'out of place'.
I'm getting used to it the more and more I look at it.
Although, I wont be buying for a very long time.
Like as not until after the inevitable face lift I suspect. Much like me.I'm getting used to it the more and more I look at it.

I've tried and I've tried but i just keep seeing MX5.
I'm glad some people like it though.

I took a few pics at the Duxford event, that front, not sure about it.
If only you could have the DB11 front and the Vantage rear.
I LOVE the look of this car, the rear is drop dead sexy, the rear quater is gorgeous, side profile stunning, even the front is looovely but who the fk designed the headlights, so utterly out of sync with the rest of the car If only you could have the DB11 front and the Vantage rear.
As most of you know I am not a new vantage fan boy but the Pirelli car with the camo on is growing on me and four exhausts does look better
I have seen a few side profiles now and the bottom crease on the door make it look like it’s been rear ended I am not technical enough to post it up with arrows but in my humble opinion it doesn’t sit right .
I do desperately want to like this car

Almost to page 100 of this topic. Time to reminisce.
'I think it will be interesting to see what people think, when they see the new Vantage.
My expectation is that the magazine will quickly change their mind, as the new Vantage will be stunning.'
quotation - IanV12VR - 16th February 2017
I don't think we ever found out, whether Ian had been granted a very special AMOC early preview, to know that.

Tried to keep first opinions to myself until further looks at it. It's a 'grower' for sure, love the rear quarter, side profile, rear end (but please only 2 exhausts, 4 is so chavvy) Front grill is more pleasing the more I look and the overall looks are aggressive,,,, but for me the stand out misgivings are as has been said the headlights, bonnet shut line (why not push it forwards out of sight?) and last but not least, who on God's earth designed that interior? Someone's 12 year old? It's hideous! The vents and that screen dumped in the middle I want to look inside a car and see dials, not some Gameboy, playstation thing or whatever they're called now. Can't argue on the mechanical front

Aston Martin have made mistakes before like a previous car I had, it was rubbish!
The new Vantage well deffo drive better than this, but it's looks are equally challenging

Not very keen on the front grille, or the headlights. Certainly not traditional Aston Martin.
The front reminds me of a Rover 800.
( Sorry that my little witticism fails on period. Car enthusiasts will know, I think the Rover came after Kevin's car. )
