Aston Martin have made mistakes before like a previous car I had, it was rubbish!
The new Vantage well deffo drive better than this but it's looks are equally challenging

A lot better in the metal than some of the pictures lead you to believe, but it’s going to very spec dependant. The car at the dealer was the red one, liked the exterior colour (but then I would ) but not the Caramac inspired interior.
Don’t think the dash is as ‘premium’ as the other cars in the range or the old model, although it’s probably more advanced technically.
Not a fan of the Aston Martin text on the boot, but looking at DB11’s in the showroom it would appear this can be deleted.
We got the dealer to pop a front plate on the car and this helps fill the vast expanse of ‘mouth’ a bit, surprised Aston don’t fit a ‘Vantage’ plate to the front to match the one on the back.
Looking forward to seeing some customers cars and how different specs work (or don’t), and hopefully in ten years time when depreciation has took a good bite I might be in the market.

Rubbish in what way(s)? I know it was the first.Actually, in all seriousness (leaving the Cygnet thingy out), have Aston ever made a rubbish car??? I'm a properly old bloke and saw my first Aston in 1965 when I was smuggled in to the local flea pit to watch Goldfinger
The love has never left..................
I too finally got to see the new Vantage at AM Nottingham yesterday and my opinion hasn't changed. I think it looks great. Different yes, and much more differentiated from DB11 than old Vantage was from DB9 but that's surely the way to go if you want to broaden the appeal of your range.
Am I in the market for one? No, not at the moment. I'm totally happy with my current Vantage and that is unlikely to change until a manual S version of the new car has rolled down the steep bit of the depreciation curve. At that point I'll be getting old enough to consider other options but it doesn't change the fact that AML seem to be doing very well under current management and we should all be happy about that.
