I think I just passed the red demo car coming the other way as I was driving down the M40 towards Oxford. In which case it looked very nice while in motion for the few seconds I saw it. Looked a bit lower than the previous Vantage and nicely planted
Obviously at those speeds I couldn't see the shut lines

At that point I'll be getting old enough to consider other options ...
I just wondered Pete, which options you might consider, when you are 'old enough' ?
Already got a vehicle to drag the better half around on so don't need the last one.

All good suggestions Jon, but I was thinking more along the lines of a Vanquish. You have to be old to have one of those, don't you?

Your tandem looks great Pete.
What do you mean, 'to drag the better half around on' ?
I think I would say to my wife, "The best view is from the front seat, and you can sit there".
Just then need to somehow have a free wheel hub arrangement, for me on the back seat. -
Important that our wives keep fit.
I wont upload any photos as there's no need, but after seeing it in Nottingham yesterday I am turned, I think the outside looks great.
Interior for me is horrible though, really didn't get on with it. So with that I didn't feel like I was missing out when I hopped back in my N430 which is nice.
Same kids at the entrance filming that have filmed me leaving Graypaul too, anyone know if they have a youtube channel or similar? I've seen them hang around Aston on a fairly frequent basis.

I passed a black pre-production car near Tewkesbury back in December. It was coming towards me and was unsure what it was until it got past and I saw the rear lights. To say it had road presence was an understatement. Perhaps being stealth black helped. Just wished I had more time to scrutinise the front Obviously at those speeds I couldn't see the shut lines

Think I saw it too, going down the M5. I couldn't be sure it was the new Vantage, but it was definitely an Aston and definitely looked quite evilraceboy said:
Not a fan of the Aston Martin text on the boot, but looking at DB11’s in the showroom it would appear this can be deleted.
There's a very good reason for this. In the Uk every man, woman and child knows what Aston Martin is. In some places in the states, japan, china and parts of the middle east the brand is much less well known. Only known as 007s car. Adding the name badges actually concretes the brand creates a car that anyone (rich enough) can buy, not just a car from the movies or a one off.Ambleton said:

I must be missing your point? The aston martin badge has aston martin written on it. Writing it in big letters achieves.....?soofsayer said:

Following fashion set by Porsche I would think , maybe that’s what a slightly younger Aston and Porsche buyer expect now ?Or maybe it helps normal folk recognise an Aston quicker than they might have before ?
A none issue for me if it can be deleted.

The red Vantage is at Newcastle this weekend, it's lovely, definitely on my list. I'm hoping as it's pre production the laughable panel fit won't carry forward to customer cars. I think they could have made more effort for a show car.
The McLaren 570 doing the dealer tour a few years back had pretty poor fit and finish iirc. These are all pre-production and shouldn’t be representative of production cars.

When one of those carbon fibre strips is accidentally broken, does that mean a complete diffuser unit replacement?
Even small carbon fibre components always seem to be expensive, so imagine the cost involved. Ouch!
Hopefully a moments carelessness, can be resolved by glueing on a new strip.
( I don't usually post at this hour, but am coping with the virus illness. Supposedly widespread. Any other AM'ers suffering? )
